Its not just trusting in Jesus , It is trusting in Jesus for His promise to forgive one and give him eternal life!! EXCLUSIVE of WORKS. So, one in a sense NEEDS a CREED .
Thank you so much Brother, so refreshing and convicting, it's an odometer to measure up the distance traveled or speedometer to speed, the massage is a FAITHOMETER to measure up the genuineness of faith.
James is about our justification before men but not before God.
Men can't see our faith but they certainly can see our works.
Simple enough, I can choose to have an alive faith or a dead faith, nothing to do with salvation at all.
James is really about having a practical faith that helps others and cannot contradict Galatians 2: 16, 2: 21, Ephesians 2: 8,9,10, Romans 4:5, 6, and Romans 11: 6, which clearly seperate faith from works of any kind.
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.

I trust GOD completely with my life. I’ve fought it my whole life and GOD revealed something to be that I had been battling with for 20 years. I need Jesus in my life. I wrote down all of the stuff he reliever es me from and there is no way I could’ve turned from it on my own. I want Jesus to have my whole life and live through me. I’m losing my best-friend and I’m ok with that. I just need other like minded believers to help me navigate this. I trust that GOS will give me those after his own heart. For such a time as this! Thank you Jesus!

This verses are about proving your faith in eyes of men and beeing profitable becouse only God sees heart and in his shight we are justified by grace trough faith alone and we also need to compare scripture with scripture and God can't contradicts himself :
Romans 4:1-6 "What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but unot before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works"
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and his promise of eternal life and security.

God is no respect or of persons. We've been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Yet the bible says Jesus loved John. Remember Jacob have I loved esaul have I hated. Read Romans 11. God is God his thoughts are not our thoughts. Amen
The Lord God almighty will show mercy upon whom he wills and favor is given through grace sometimes there are people that need more grace than others and God will show his mercy upon them and his grace will be sufficient for them as he helps them through their journey

Who is he asking if their faith is real...a new babe in Christ who only can express a mustard seed of faith in Christ , which was just enought to save him. Or a more mature believer in Christ who has grown in the knowledge of Jesus Christ thru the study of the mind of Christ. the doctrine of the bible.
Dead faith had to be real or live faith, first ,in order to be dead. What faith are we talking about here...If it is the faith expressed in Acts:16 :31, ( he doesn't elaborate ) Believe on the lord Jesus Christ ,and at that very moment ,you are saved forever.(along with 39 other things
Smuggling works into the gospel. This is shameful,
James is no way saying what this pastor is saying.
Can faith save him from the judgement of God for the believer who showed no mercy, read the context pastor. Salvation from sin is not in question.
