All quality / commercial sealers come in 2 parts . When mixed together the sealer hardenes. This way a lot can be achieved in a very small time . Use P.V.A just as a liquid solution to bind down dust , nothing more .
A builder friend of mine told me never to use PVA as it's not at all waterproof and in fact turns back into "glue" when exposed to water or damp? He said I should either use SBR which is like PVA but a different chemical or use a liquid DPM. Not sure if he's correct or not but how is your floor holding up? Great video 👍
If your painting over the floor after applying PVA it is pretty good because it creates a smooth dust free surface for the paint to adhere and seals the concrete and stops the paint cracking.
I’m in the middle of doing up my garage and was wondering how you’d got on with the PVC tiles? There seem to be a lot of choice and for a single garage ranges from £160-600. Would you recommend the tiles you used? And any tips for installation? Thanks
Nice video pal.. Will this work on fresh concrete as my concrete is leaving powdery and sticks to my shoes and into the house.. Will this help. Much appreciated 🙏
Tbh mate I was just making it up as I went and basing it on other youtube vids/guides I'd read. Googling what a cement fillet is I've definably done it and nothing disastrous has happened, yet.
I left it for a whole week between each coat but you might get away with 24 hours on a warm day. Some of the edges and corners took longer so you'll just have to play it by ear. I don't think you could use normal wall paint over it no, but you can definitely use epoxy floor resin. It's also recommended to do this prior to using resin anyway.
@@craftycamel3498 Thanks for the reply. I am planning to seal the dusty floor with PVA glue then a Leyland garage floor paint. Will you recommend this you think?
I'm unsure how damp proof this is I'm afraid. If you epoxied it as well I'd imagine so but you'll still have issues with the walls. Best to ask someone who really knows to be safe.
It said on the back of my PVA tub how much to use so double check that first. Mine was concentrated and said 8:1, 8 parts water to 1 part PVA, but I think I used about 6:1.
Who has the time to do all this messing about. What do you do with all the stuff in the garage while going through this pantomime? Leave it outsiide for three weekends? A very impracticable method and not one I will be using.

correct. don't use pva.

Depends if it’s indoor or outdoor mate, also if concrete is currently wet and indoors don’t want to seal it yet with sbr
thank you . I learn from this video . I will try on my garage dusty floor
I need to do it very cheaply as I’ve large shed with old concrete walls that are dusty and constantly create dust.
some good videos mate, enjoy your humour!
Did you post the video of you doing the floor tiles? I cannot seem to find it
Thank you 🙏
I've got oil patch on my floor ,what would be good to get rid of it? Just soap and water?

Excellent video.
Do you need to paint the walls?
Interesting good info

Yer it should be fine. Make sure you wash it first though to get as much dust off as you can. Best of luck.
Can you give me the dimensions of the garage ? I’m guessing 6m x 3m so roughly 6L for 18m2 ? Thanks.
Great video, just had a pre fab garage installed, it has a cement fillet on the inside, am I OK to pva that as well? Thanks

how long it takes to dry? can i paint over the glue?

@@natadodo1564 Looks good! Might need to do 1 or 2 coats much like I did here with the PVA glue. How smooth is your floor to start with?
@@craftycamel3498the old paint started to peel off and getting dusty. so im watching youtube to get some ideas.
Please can it be used as vapor barrier? Thank you

Excelente trabajo
What is the ratio of water and PVA? Thank you
50/50 is usual

Why do some people say use pva as a primer and others say not to
Money. PVA will soften up again once it gets wet, whilst SBR won’t.
@@adsmaildepends if it’s indoors or outdoors
Why not just jet wash it?
I had no way to get power or water into the garage as it's not directly connected to our hose so had to do it by hand.
wtf ?

Looking forward to seeing your video on this subject
This is my problem. I can't leave stuff out for a week. There has to be an easier way?
@@raybarber9837yeah just pour a few buckets in the corner and let it work it’s magic
