Im sure i added a lil. I just weighed the chunks of hood i cut out. & one side is only 1.1 lbs So 2.2 total. Not sure what the Louvers weight but its not much more.
Nice nice! I just ordered. I have the Jdl turbo kit in mine debating on where I should put the vents. Debating on exactly where you did it or more towards the front. I don’t need my intake getting wet if I ever take this out in the rain or something.
@Eric Ventura if you mount it forward on the hood you will end up cutting up the bracing underneath & the hood will be a lil floppy. You can buy sleeves that go over your filter to help keep water out of it.

After you cut the hole, what tool did you use to clean up the edges?
Just a Flap Disc. They are amazing at smoothing out any type of metal or ugly welds. ... or you can just use a File
Question. Did the louvers come with those templates or did you make them?
They come with them.
So, I doubt its enough to matter but did you add or remove weight by installing these?

Dude there was so much Purity in there I had to let some of it out.
