I am hoping they breed this season. The males are both 100% trying to get the attention of the females. Yet they are oblivious of the attempts. Not that I can watch them all day. As soon as something happens. I will upload video.

@@rudydcrossroads awesome! Can’t wait to hear/see. Turtles are so fascinating. My brother had a RES for 31 years and she now lives with a man who does education programs with children. My parents had absolutely no idea the turtle was quite literally a *life* long commitment! (Jokes on them LOL)

Please consider not breeding red ear sliders. There are already horribly overpopulated and overbred. The set up you have here is barely big enough for one turtle. It's way to small to house all these turtle together. It is going to be extremely stressful on the female not being able to get away from the males.

We have a giant pond for our turtles. We chose to separate our turtles by size during breeding season to keep them safe. You are probably correct on the red eats being over populated. We do not sell ours. Nor give them away. They will live a long life with us. A few will live on a friends farm. He has fifteen acres of water in the middle of 117 acres of rolling hills and woods. They will not add to the overpopulation. We are in the process of setting up our company. We are working to educate and help other learn about all kinds of turtles. I hope this gives you a little peace of mind about how we operate. I have to look for the video. I know I have video of our pond and water fall. I can come back with the link when I find it.
