A modern artist based in Palo Alto, California, Drue Kataoka blends the refined techniques of her ancient Zen art form of sumi-e with cuttingedge
conceptual innovations inspired by life in Silicon Valley. Discerning art lovers and investors from around the globe collect Drues originals. Her art has appeared on Wynton Marsalis album A Fiddlers Tale, original estate wine labels for Au Bon Climat, and has been commissioned by companies and organizations such as Cisco, Nissan, SUN Microsystems, Nordstrom and Stanford University. Drues projects have been covered by CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC affiliates as well as the San Jose Mercury News, San Francisco Chronicle, Entrepreneur Magazine and CNET. She recently participated in the first zero-gravity art exhibition in space at the International Space Station. Drue has also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charitable organizations through her art.
