Minecraft just added a "Wind Burst" enchantment so they basically gave us my Bounce prototype! 😍
I saw it in the changelog and I immediately thought about this video!

An enchantment that would be cool, stolen from Minecraft Dungeons, is Gravity, which effectively reverses the AOE knockback mechanic.
Maybe it could work like it draws people in then knocks them back if combined with the enchant that increases knockback
The problem is that gravity is a pretty bad enchantment unless it's put on a projectile weapon

@@crane5103 In Minecraft dungeons it was good but in actual Minecraft there typically wouldint be much of a reason to use it

As soon as I saw the Mace's mechanic, I was already thinking of the unique enchantments it could have. (I was also thinking of the Bounce enchantment too :D) Especially the Gravity enchantment from Minecraft Dungeons' Echoing Void DLC. As someone who is a huge fan of Minecraft Dungeons and has played through the game multiple times, I would love to see a Dungeons enchantment in Minecraft! I've already seen another commenter mention it, but I really think this enchantment would be a perfect fit for the Mace, because it does the exact opposite of what the Mace is expected to do, pulling nearby mobs toward the player instead of pushing them away.

Two enchantment ideas
Loyalty for it, allowing you to throw it at mobs, and then "worthy" making it impossible for anyone but the enchanter to pick it up or use it

ive been hoping for custom enchanments for the mace, nice to see your concepts!
i feel like a sick enchantment for the mace would be "Hurling" or smth like that, basically the ability to throw the mace like a trident ( the higher u throw it the more damage it deals tho the harder it becomes to hit the target )
It also checks where the players standing, throwing it down wont increase damage
kinda stupid since it makes the trident useless

I love how well thought out these enchantments are! One enchantment I would suggest is the Butterfly Effect. This would allow you to hit a mob to launch it and damage other enemies (like Casey in Enter the Gungeon). Higher levels of this enchantment would allow you to chain mobs hitting each other like in pool.
maybe the lightning enchantment would have a lot more stun/damage/range in thunderstorms which seems fair cause thunderstorms don't happen that often

I think the only thing that is really missing and shouldn't even be an enchantment, but the default is for the knockback to scale with fall distance. of course with a logistic function type scaling to not get completely whack, but I think it would make the mace a lot more useful

How about a helmet enchantment that decreases mace damage or generally damage from stuff that comes from the sky like lightning or anvil.
It would kind of balance these overpowered enchantments in PvP
That would work, make 3 levels of it, and the 3rd level half's the amount of damage the mace would do to someone without the enchantment, and would make it easier to fight people with Mace's but doesn't give any extra resistance to sword or Axe hits

a cool enchantment would be if landing a hit boosts you horizontally forward in the direction you're looking, this could make some really cool combos where you zoom from one enemy to another and another and another.

Oh boy I have very very great news for you Mojang already added 3 mace Enchantments and a Enchant is similar to "Bounce" that this guy created
There's a few Ideas I'd love to see you do so:
Boomerang (Or Worthy, since Loyalty is on Trident, the Worthy is more of a Thor kind of feeling.) Enchantment Lvl 1 - 4: You'll be able to throw the mace to any direction as it'll go flying back to your inventory. (It act's like a trident.) as what each level does is the amount of entities/mobs it'll hit before it goes back to your hand.
Twirl Enchantment 1 - 3: Holding left click until max power, you'll be able to spin and hit anyone around you for an amount of time depending on your enchantment level.
Clobber Enchantment 1 - 2: It's acts like a knockback effect but it sends them in the air also (depending on the level, so for level 1 enchantment, it would send them 3 blocks high, but on the level 2 enchantment, it sends them 6 blocks high.) As this will only trigger it however when you do a critical hit.
That's pretty much of the ideas/suggestions I'd love to see you add them!

My enchantment:
Moon Fall
At night time on full moon days , dropping down with the mace makes you fall 3 times faster setting the player on fire but also gaining fire resistance and there's no need to land any hits as upon touching the ground it will deal a big splash damage explosion with fire and a big crater in the ground 3 levels?
Cannot be combined with trick shot or pummeling , shockwave
Would work with the stun one and bounce
Or another enchantment Potion Core
Unlocks a slot in you're mace (like bundles) where you can put a potion , splash potion , lingering potion
Depending on what you put inside it like normal potion upon landing a hit it will instantly consume the potion and apply the effect on self ,
Splash potion would apply the effects only to the attacked target and the knocked backed targets, and if it's a lingering potion it will create the lingering potion effect on the ground affecting any entity in it , (maybe even work with dragon's breath in a bottle)
With up to level 5 with each level adding another potion slot inside it and consuming one at a time upon a fall hit onto an enemy's head (at lvl 5 putting 5 potions inside can be same type or different types of potions and will use each in a row
Combinable with any other enchantments especially with bounce applying 5 effects on 5 bounced hits would be really funny
Like slowness ,poison , weakness and instant damage to make the mace completely broken and over powered :3 or dragon's breath lingering cloud
Shield breaker
Destroys durabily of shields x2+1 (3) per level at lvl 5 doin x2+5(7) times more durabily taken from the shield and shield disable ability like the axe does

i love this idea!! all of the enchants are really amazing. I do think just for balancing bounce shouldnt stack with pummeling and shockwave shouldnt stack with lightning. That makes it more balance and you can choose different paths for what kind of mace you want. and also since the enchants would be really rare it would make that balanced as well

I think a really cool enchantment would hurt mobs that had been around the mob the player hit with the mace whenever they wanted, which I think could make a new effect like ‘bleeding’ and it could even be a conflicting enchantment to the lightning one

Hear me out: Maces were meant to be used against armored opponents in order to bludgeon their way through armor.
The Flanged enchantment grants a level of armor penetration as per the lvl of enchantment.
minecraft already did it first
Enchantment Ideas:
Meteor: Increases damage and fall speed
Depth Charge: Causes you to sink while holding the mace to smack things underwater
Battering: Deals extra armor and shield damage while on the ground
altough some are not that minecrafty, it was still an amazing video! one idea ive had for a while is that there would be ”runes”, that are smithing templates you apply to weapons to upgrade them. And the more expensive of a gem you use to upgrade it, the better the upgrade is. Would love a video where you make this :)
That’s sort of what enchantments are, the best case scenario would be to give weapons & tools some kind of trims & still give them enchantments, bc being able to get new abilities for your weapons & tools are from enchantments & if you wanted to put like a decor on your weapon, it SHOULDNT give you a buff. Just like armor trims.

Enchantment Idea
Radiant Slam: Upon landing a falling attack, send out a wave of fire, up to 3 levels, range increases with level
Just a silly thought but Imagine if it had an enchantment called someting like "batting", where you could use thowing items in your off hand with the mace to launch then twice as far, and the enchantment could also be used to launch fire charges and wind charges too but they'd be affected by gravity. It would also be interesting if you could also launch falling blocks like pots, sand, dragon eggs and lit tnt, possibly even end crystals even thought it would probably be too unbalanced.
Though it would probably be too complicated to implement but I think it'd be cool.
(This idea was very much inspired by the hammer Doctor4t made for clownpierce.)
Id love to see more items that abuse minecraft mechanics like the hammer

The bounce enchant is probably the best idea, and then lightning and shockwave are probably way too strong (needs a nerd to not be 10 seconds stunned or range showcased) but also would be nice additions. Trickshot would be complicated to think of it’s functionality in multiplayer or too easy to reap the reward of to 360 in air. The last enchant - having a weapon with the ability to be used as a tool is a bit of a stretch to consider, the mace shouldn’t be that.

Enchant idea: rushing strike
When I saw it’s damage being effected from the fall speed and seeing that in mods hammers do huge knockback I thought of this one:
When you have a speed boost and hit a mob with the mace it’s knocks it back by a lot and the other enemies close to it but it’s also knocks you back as well a couple blocks too (It will go up to level 2 because it’s similar to punch and knockback) I would be really happy seeing it implemented into your mods :)

i have an addition to bounce, if you crouch after bouncing you fall faster and then if you land a hit while crouching in the air you do 1.5x damage and go up 1.2x higher
