- hey yall long time no see ! It's been busy around herenwith summer break, but today we are going thrifting. I am on a mission to find some affordable décor for my aunt's bedroom makeover. I'm also going to share two diy projects that are easy and affordable! I hope you guys enjoy watching this video. Thank you so much for being here.

Several years ago, one of my husband's niece's sons decided he and his girlfriend wanted to get married. They wanted to do it that same day. They had a marriage license. His niece started making phone calls for places willing to marry them. You won't believe where it was. Lol. A funeral home. Lol. I never knew a director of a funeral hope was qualified to marry someone, but he was, and he married them. Oh, and my husband's niece ended up having to be the one to pay the director to marry her son and his girlfriend because neither of them had any money. Lol. What a way to start a marriage. It was so sweet your daughter wanted to have a wedding for mom and dad. You guys could always have a vows renewal. I'm looking forward to you working your magic in your aunt's room.

The wedding conversation was sweet😊, same here courthouse wedding 23 years together and 20 years married don’t matter the venue or how much money you spend. It’s the drive to stay together and work through problems with your person.

Redoing rooms for people on a budget are my FAVORITE thing to do. I too, have to do it when they aren’t home. I actually like doing it without them knowing. One of them usually knows that I can make it work.
Karrie, when you said you never got to wear a wedding dress I felt it in my soul 💔I also got married at the courthouse and didn’t get to wear a wedding dress. We have been married for 18yrs, together for 22yrs. I’m very grateful to God that he gave me a wonderful husband, but it does make me sad that I don’t have those memories to look back to.😢
I feel you. I got married at my. Parents house and didn’t have a wedding dress. As a little girl, I always played bride and dreamed of my wedding day. When our, 50 anniversary came around my husband was sick and we couldn’t even have a celebration then. Oh well we were just as married and we were very happy, he was the love of my live. He passed away last March

Me and my husband have been married for 43 years I was 17 and he was 22 and we got married at our courthouse at 4:59 one minute before it closed. And we are still hanging in there ❤

Oh wow, those sconces turned out very beautiful. I definitely was skeptical, but I just wasn't seeing the full picture. I definitely should always trust the process with you because you always rock it!!!! That table looks soooo high end!
We had those exact style of chairs growing up in the 70’s! (Maybe the late 60’s!). Nice thrift haul.
Table and sconces turned out great 👍. Recently my son got married and they could not afford a wedding … her mom either . I have done many weddings and my son and bride were getting a wedding 💒. My husband and I did a beautiful wedding on a tight budget . My daughter in law loved and never dreamed it would happen . Sometimes these memories are more important than me getting me cabinets for my kitchen lol ❤and after hearing of all that didn’t get we did it right 🎉

It is much cleaner to have them serve you the drinks and ketchup. The bacteria, on the self-serve is huge amounts. A lot of the times it is not cleaned properly before refill and can be gross. Same with buffets. You did great on your thrift store finds Love, love, love, that huge vase. Lucky you on the paper towel holder they are hard to find in the marble. Stop about your arms nothing wrong with them. Like that shirt looks good on you. You are so funny. i am serious you can wear sleeveless well. I am old lady so not being weird just honest. Your beautiful. Do not waste time on the negative feelings your young once. enjoy your young years and love yourself. Do not get stuck on yourself but you know what I mean. Love the chairs. The table too. You got it girl. Can not wait until the room reveal.

Another court house wedding here! We renewed our vows 6 months later with my husband's other side of the family and had a reception which maybe 20 people showed up to. Our 10 year is coming up. If i had a do over, we would've just went on vacation instead of spending money on a dress and reception. Now that we are done having kids id like to get all dressed up, go to the beach and say our vows to eachother infront of our kids❤
I think a bathroom would look good with that wallpaper. 💞🎨🖌🖼

I would sand that cement table down and lime wash it a stone color so it doesn’t look so DIY. Also, the gothic candles are cool, but I’d use that faux wood paint for the back and would have left the iron natural. That would work for the earthy esthetic better. Since you already sprayed it black, it might be worth it to disassemble and paint a light color. I liked the stone idea you had to! The blouse is beautiful.

Great thrift haul. Loving the stone table after you worked your magic and I think the wallpaper in the bathroom would work that is a beautifully print.
😂 same happens to me with perfume. I smell it on others and I go buy it and then I put it on and I stink! 😮 And I get a headache. 😂 I was told long ago that you should mist the perfume in the air and walk under it or mist in your hair. I also dab the pulse points with the excess left on the nozzle after spraying. Your left with a little less strong of a scent than when you spray it on your body. 😊

You can use the wallpaper as a background on some pictures to make it more of a cohesive gallery wall.
I did the same thing with my best friend basement. She had her first guest this last weekend and they told her she should make it a Airbnb . Oh and Yay !
I have several scents of those perfumes. I love the chai espice one. You should try that one next. I bet you'll love it.
When you said you don't like your arms, I thought wow. Cause I always think to myself when you wear tank tops that you have pretty arms. I know its so random lol. But I never like showing my arms. I feel like they are too big. And I have so many freckles & moes. But yours are so nice. I hope you don't feel self conscious at all. There's nothing wrong with them at all! ❤

The sconces are beautiful. I would use the wallpaper for the back walls of a bookcase, maybe in your living room bookcase?
You can just have a party in your backyard and take pics dressed in a wedding gown! Pics while your young still so you can pass the photos down to the kids ❤
Or, of course if you don't want to do that - then you have heaps of family pics already that are gorgeous anyway. The best thing about life is that we can choose what we want and don't want to do! 🥰

Also keep forgetting... when you mentioned the burgundy mascara I had to try it. I have brown eyes and wanted them to pop. On your sconces on the iron part you should use some gold or silver rubbing buff that would bring out the detail in the iron. They are gorgeous though you doing a great job.
