Canadian singer / songwriter duo Roberta Carter Harrison and her husband Ken Harrison are active in the music scene for a very long time already. Since the late 80s they form the indie-pop band “Wild Strawberries”. One of their tracks was the pop-rock song “Wrong To Let You Go”, which was taken from their album “Twist” back in the year 2000.
In November of the year 2000 German DJ and producer André Tanneberger a.k.a. ATB released a new version of the track, which he called “Let U Go”. It was featured on his artist album “Two Worlds” as “ATB with The Wild Strawberries”.
A year later ATB made a new remix of the song and that new version was released as a single. “Let U Go” became ATB's biggest hit in his home country Germany, as it was his first, and only, Top 10 single, reaching number 7 in the charts.
For this week’s vlog I sat down with Roberta and Ken Harrison, to ask them about the story behind “Let U Go”.
Enjoy and thanks for watching!

Man, you just bring something out of the people that you interview, doesn't matter who it is, they tell you their story with such passion and kindness .
I can wait for the next interview, hold you is one of my all time favorites, and after listening to it for so many times, hearing the story behind makes that song even more special.
Thank you
Oh wow, thank you very much for the kind words! Always happy to read comments like this, thank you! 🙏🏻
No joke, Roberta is literally my all time favourite vocalist in electronic music. Such a unique singing voice❤
❤❤❤
Always liked her voice, especially in "I don't wanna stop".
Roberta is my Nr. 1 Voice für ATB-Songs. Don´t want no other.
The Wippenberg Mix of Let U Go was massive at the club back then. One of my favourites, that still gives me chills to this day. Great interview as always, thank you.
Indeed Also Schiller Remix
Agreed. Very beautiful.
Love that mix
Love Roberta’s voice. Long Way Home for me through some tough times! ❤
So lovely to know ❤
My apologies- Long Way Home got me through some tough times. This song is still on heavy rotation!
I loved this interview! Roberta and Ken have such great energy. It was awesome to get the backstory for 'Let U Go' and I am beyond excited to hear all the new tracks that were recorded during their session with Raz Nitzan. Raz has been producing the best trance and melodic music, so hopefully there will be an albums worth of tracks coming from this collaboration.
Thanks so much ❤ We're so excited about the new tracks too. And we did get a full albums worth of material from our time with Raz in Netherlands 👍
@@robertaharrisonmusic Wow wow wow Incredible news and definitely looking forward to supporting these releases! Thank you Roberta🥰
Great interview. Loved the TOTP story. I did not know about the ATB version of "You're Not Alone." The original Olive version is one of my favorites!
Awesome song and that drop in ATB's 2001 remix version was so ahead of its time.
❤❤❤
Such a nice Couple, that was one of the most fun Interviews. And the Top of the Pops Story is ridiculous 🤣 Great Job Twan
❤❤❤
So laid back guys Roberta and Ken! Had the chance to work with them on a track which im very happy about and defo not the last time i will reach out to them and ask!
@@DreamyDawnMusic and thank you for watching!
Wow, love this interview: they’re such incredible people. You should’ve asked Roberta if they would work with ATB again- everything she’s done on his albums was Gold. I wish ATB would return to that style of music.
@@muaazgani4422 thank you! And of course I did ask them ☺️ But that was in the second interview I did with them, that one will be online later this year 😉
@@muzikxpress Looking forward to that interview🤩

That would be so lovely, Woody. We wouldn't be here doing what we're doing without you and your support ❤
Great track. Would you inerview ATB for his 9pm track or Don't stop?
@@wowerman well I would love that, but unfortunately I got a “no sorry” when I asked him for an interview a while ago… So that’s not gonna happen unfortunately …
Which collab between ATB and Roberta Carter Harrison do you like the most?
You're Not Alone
Long way home❤
It's more the question of the versions) "Let U Go" from the vinyl "Two Worlds", 1st clubb mix of "You're Not Alone". One and only "I Don't Wanna Stop", always goosebumps while listening
All of them
Everything is Wrong
the only song i found beautiful from them: Wild strawberries - Heroine ...epic
Stay tuned...😉
she kinda looks like a mix between the presenter lady off supersize vs superskinny and cam off tracy beaker
Focus went to the wrong person.
What do you mean?
@@muzikxpress just lens
@@xxxxxx18 yeah, unfortunately I found out after the recording 😕
Thanks Twan... one of my all time favourites... the London dub mix was always my go to
Thank you! Hope you enjoy the interview!
❤❤❤
"Let U Go" by ATB feat. Roberta Carter Harrison is a big smashing hit. Amazing and awesome melody that drives into pure trance. And later I heard a chillout remix of this song by Schiller. And that was a real nirvana. Andre did a great music track indeed and Roberta is a perfect vocalist! It's still ON PLAY in nowadays! 🎶👍
The 2000 version with The Wild Strawberries is one of the best trance songs, in my honest opinion. It's so unbelievably good...
❤❤❤
The work you are doing is magic!!! Passion of Trance, greetings from Spain
Thank you so much! Always happy to read that people enjoy the interviews!
Everything Is Wrong❤
Congratulations mate, you do exactly what i've always dreamed to do as a job. Meet all those artists who made unforgettable tracks is awesome. Thank you.
Incredible interview! The trance scene is lacking SUCH great interviews like this. I have NO IDEA what some of my favorite talents are up to.
Thank you so much! More to come soon! Plus another one with Roberta & Ken, hopefully online next month! 🤞🏻
Thanks for the upload, I also saw the playlist =)
Wippenberg remix is in my top 5 tracks of all time
