You can change the yarn with a bigger size... but if you using the same yarn, in round 5, 3 sc, sc inc x 6 times.. Then you just need to adjust the pattern... and maybe you should add 1 more round before changing the yarn to white

The pattern if some of yall perfer to read crochet patterns
Round 1: Magic ring, 6 sc = 6
Round 2: inc, reapeat 6 times = 12
Round 3: :(sc, inc) repeat 6 time = 18
Round 4: :(2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times = 24
Round 5: sc around = 24
Round 6: sc, inc, 22 sc, inc = 26
Round 7-9: sc around = 26
Change color
Round 10: dec, 22 sc, dec = 24
Round 11: :(2 sc, dec) repeat 6 times = 18
Add Eyes
TAIL: Slip knot, 3 ch, 2 dc together, 3 ch, slst
FIN: Skip to sc from eye and add fin- Slip knot, 3 sc, 2 dc, 3 ch, slst (repeat on the other side)
Round 12: :( 1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times = 12
Stuff whale
Round 13: 3 dec, fasten off
