The DJI Pocket 3 CINEMATIC FILM LOOK Test Footage (Dehancer)

I was very interested to try Dehancer with my Pocket 3 after they recently released the camera profile. I'm still learning what works best but I'm already seeing some very exciting results. Regardless, its incredible being able to shoot in LOG with since a small camera. Im using ND filters by Freewell. Some shots were overexposed so I've learned to use the stronger ND option. I am seeing some vignetting on the edges of the frame that I don't like so I may research other filters. Let me know if you've experienced that too and how to get around that.

Great footage are you using variable ND filters or just the regular NDs from freewell?

Thanks! Im using the Variable filters. Much easier to eye the exposure. I have the 1-9 and the 6-9 stop filters.

@@Chollette I tried those VND and noticed the vignetting, hated it. Non variables won't give you the vignetting and I feel they don't reduce the video quality. Im good with a 16ND most of the time during the day shooting at 60fps 1/120 ISO 50. with my EV at 0.3. thats what I found to be the best exposure for my color grading style, maintaining good shadows and highlights.

I own the DJI Pocket 2, and a few months ago, I purchased the Pocket 3. Unfortunately, I am now disappointed because the screen is malfunctioning despite my careful handling. While the image quality is excellent, the screen malfunction renders the camera practically unusable. Since I am on the other side of the world, sending it back for repair is extremely expensive.

I used a program called Dehancer for this video! They made a profile specifically for the Pocket 3.
