The Pocket is so versatile. Using the low light mode on the dance floor is just amazing. You can mount it on a light stand for that Birds Eye view of the dance floor or the same way you would use a GoPro but the low light capabilities of the pocket goes beyond a GoPro. With the DJI Mimo app you can control the angle and have different perspectives. For sure great for b roll and limo rides too!
Yessir!! This is brilliant ideas! I been using it on all our projects now and it's been really amazing. The main benefit is actually the size. I was able to get a really tight plumbing shot from within a toilet with it! So neat! 🤣Love it man. Glad other people are finding creative ways to use this great little camera for utility in their kit!
One more point I would add that makes this camera great is for having a quick setup for Timelapses to add to your videos. Sometimes I’ve wanted to grab a Timelapse at sunset but I just haven’t had time to set it up or been able to free up a mirrorless body to use for it. This is so quick in setting them up with the built in tripod, I’ll bring it along with me to weddings for that alone.
Dude!! this is an amazing addition! Absolutely. Thanks for saying this in the chat! I will make another video about the DJI and how it helps in a professional environment; i'll be sure to share and include this! Because i never thought of that but it's good use-case!
I used this in my last wedding, you have good points however I used it more for walking "Gimbal" shots and it did great! Got a close up of the people and it did amazing, I also hook it to an extended selfie stick and walk with it around the indoors ceremony and it gave this amazing almost drone like shots. I would say no, it doesnt work as a regular camera, you have to use it in creative ways.
Yes you're exactly right. I tried to use it as a regular camera as a third angle the first time around and you can't. Definitely need to be creative. Using it for shots you'd normally get with a camera on a gimbal is a perfect way to use it now that I've had much more experience with it!
That's the key!! You're right. Thank you very much. FYI, we still use this little camera on every wedding. But in its strengths! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel
6:32 wow thank you for making a point to actually show the raw audio. A perfect environment and example to see how the internal mic sounds under pressure, and I think it sounds really really good. I'm sure in a quieter environment it sounds even better. I am purchasing one of these in the near future to take for personal travel vlog to Japan. Nobody else reviewing the Pocket 3 that I've seen have made any more than a quick passing comment that it has onboard stereo. Yours is the first I've seen that actually talks about the onboard audio. With headphones, the stereo gave a great sense of all directions of the room as you orbited. I've very impressed and now I can be confident with relying on the onboard mic to keep the lowest platform possible while traveling. I'm so excited! Thanks for the video
I appreciate your feedback on this video it means a lot! Yes I really try to provide value in every video that I offer rather than just putting content for the sake of putting out content. More to come and I hope you have a great trip!
Ive been considering using the Pocket as a wide camera at the ceremony, and overall the quality of your shot I think looks really good. It does seem like you are pretty far back tho?
Yes, since I made this video, I've actually found more uses for the DJI now. I've also been using it as a wide angle to capture the audience! But in the first attempt, it was pretty far back. The venue was big. So this also may not have been the best example to use. Either way, the little camera is great for additional angles and it's not that bad! It's hard for me not to compare it to my Sony FX cameras, but...at the same time, for what it is...it is good. Either way, the average person wouldn't notice the differences we videographers notice. I'm glad someone else has been getting value from this little camera like I have!
way too far away thats why i learn from a seasoned photographer you are the most important person get as close and as far away as you need and control the audience. a lot of shots you can get and make the pastor redo them to get uo close and personal shots. blew me away when i seen him do that. but i see why hes a on location island wedding photographer
Yeah, it's a basic camera, but it has a built-in gimbal. I think the hype is because it's small, shoots 4k 10bit quality, and has a built-in gimbal. People are excited because it could start a new trend in camera tech, with other brands coming out with cameras that have built-in gimbals. But you're right, it's a niche tool and can be amazing in some situations or just a basic camera in most.

Definitely Great camera for B-Rolls especially 120fps footages. 👍
Yes indeed. That's where this little camera shines the most! Agreed!

Pocket 3 is a basic camera, it’s being overhyped for no reason.
