The performance may just surprise you. Is this the best PCP air rifle for the money? #staytunedforairgundetectives and we can answer that question.

Thanks JC. Very informative and helpful as always. Mine is on order! Looking forward to working up a tactical conversion kit for it. Though that is a good looking stock.
By the way, I love that you call out your hammer spring settings. You don’t see that a lot in airgun reviews.
Thanks Buddy. I always look forward to your amazing accessories! 👍🏻
Have you made a chassis for is yet
@@aaronmcfee506 I have. It’s on our website. The kit for the Max is in the works.
JC once again you lead me down the road to purchase of many rifles ,for a guy that said maybe never a pcp ,I bought this one from Mike M and compressor and later a 22 both really amazing .Kinda a game changer what they do at 45 plus yards ,the .25 at 60 yards nice almost dime groups 44 ish ft lbs ,the .22 I set up to mock up a R9 #2 setting 620 fps 13 ft lbs went 11 clips (10 shots so 110 shot and I quite ) just amazing dimes at 35 and 1/2 dollar at 53 yards and I am no shooter cant see very good .Thanks man your are great !
Enjoy that rifle...The PCPs are really fun. No recoil and amazing accuracy. There is room in everyone's collection for all types of airguns. Mike is a great guy; I learned a lot from him in the repair world. 😉👍
Great review of a great value product. I’ve been looking hard at Avenger Bullpup, but not so sure now. The all metal with wood stock is a big deal and surprisingly quite.
Thanks for watching! These are really nice rifles especially at this price point! 😉
Looks like a very nice PCP🙂👍.
I also want to thank you for the review of the Beeman R7.
I received my HW30s over a week ago. I cannot hardly put it down, it has been so much fun. I started using open sites and it did very well for my bad eyes. Then I borrowed a scope for my HW80 and began some extreme tack driving. Outdoor shooting days will be limited this winter but I can always have fun with this low power, high quality, very high accuracy break barrel 🙂👍.
BTW I call it my baby break barrel, lol.
Yes...The R7 is so effortless to shoot, and the accuracy is beyond comparison. That is Lucy's baby!😉
Nice rifle and excellent review. I didn't realize it had adjustable power.
Thanks brother. God bless you 🎯👍
I looked up the price of this at several places. Wow......This rifle is a fantastic bargain. The stock has beautiful grain in the wood. This rifle is one of the best deals going.
Also I appreciate your tuning the rifle. I feel that simply testing an out of the box rifle doesn't give the guns potential. Anything can ship out of adjustment. If it's part of the regular adjustment process. Then I want to see how good it can be. Adjustment of the reg, trigger and hammer are part of a good review.
I haven’t gotten sucked into Airgun videos in a few years. I don’t even own any of them. It blows my mind how much cheaper they are now than just a few years ago. I wish these were around when I was a kid. I’m almost 37 now.
Finally picked one of these non regulated jts .22 up and wow, literally wow. For the money unreal. The only other budget pcp I picked up years ago believe it or not was a gamo coyote bsa whisper and till this day that rifle out shoots my air venturi avenger and now the JTS beats both hands down.
Thanks again for the ("real review!") And I mean that JC. 👍
JP, I'm glad that worked out for you! This is a heck of a rifle for the price. I really appreciate you tuning in, and thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. Happy Shooting! 👍🏻😉
Man! I am a first timer on PCP's(have yet to decide on which) coming from years of break barrels. IDK Aventuri Avenger 22 cal or The JTS Airacuda Max??? I am impressed by both. I know most will say you can't go wrong with either, but I am looking for honest and difinative opinions. I am leaning towards JTS, aside from identical performance as Avenger, I like that it is ALL METAL AND WOOD!
I have the same questions !! Whats best Airacuda or Avenger?? I really like the sleek design of the Airacuda but both are beautifull!!
Just got the airacuda and I’m easily landing shots on pigeons at 60-70 yards
Great review JC. Yours are the best. Looking forward to the next one!
THANK YOU! Saw you on SHOT JTS, JUST maybe my next STOP!!! Semper Fi!
I sold my weihrauch hw77k to get this airacuda stantard .22cal.I didn't regret it at all!Very accurate air rifle with jts dead center 18.1grains pelelts, very nice and crisp trigger, quiet, lightweight,no plastic only metal and wood, very powerful(almost 40 fpe but i set it to 30fpe).I am very happy with the purchase!Ι hope it wii be reliable over time
Are we a grandpa yet??? I’m seriously thinking about one of those JTS. They look fantastic. Another great video brother. Have a wonderful weekend
Hi Josh, YES! I am a grandpa to the most amazing little girl. She is 7 days old today and I just got back from seeing her for several days. I will share a few photos in the near future. Thank you for asking and Lucy and I are beyond excited. 👍😉
Hi JC , excellent review as always. Very nice PCP, many good things, metal and wood, good looking stock, great value product. Um ola especial para Nitro e Peanut. Thanks JC. Cheers
Thank you Buddy! I always look forward to hearing from you! 👍👍
Man this is a nice gun. Might have to pull the trigger on this one. Thanks JC
Jeremy, thanks for watching...these JTS rifles are really becoming one of my favorites!👍
Crazy awesome!!
Especially for that ridiculously small amount you had to pay for sucha sweet rifle.. DAMN!!!
And simple mags, and in metal - that's the way to go!
Gonna be interesting to see what Buck Rail is going to make for this. I really like the sound of "tactical"...😁😁😁
Way well done JC! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Terry is working on something and as soon as he develops it, I will showcase it😉👍
@@AirgunDetectives Would not wanna see it go thru any other way.. 😎👍🏻
I ordered mine in 22 caliber.. reasoning is somany different pellets at different prices and weights to choose from and slugs. And I got such a good deal from Amazon. They gave me 150.00 off if I got accepted for the Amazon credit card. I also purchased a hand pump. I had applied so earned points to the pump. Total spent was 230.25 😂❤ how could I not purchase it ?
Hi Bruce, .22 caliber is by far my favorite because of all the pellet options. You will love this rifle. The trigger can be adjusted really nicely. I do cover that in the video. Enjoy and Happy Shooting!😉👍🏻
I did 5 turns on my 22 caliber standard , H&N match grade 21.14 970 fps 44.2 fps . H&N 14 grain 1108 fps 38.2 ftlbs. H&N Slugs 36 grain 718 fps 41.2 ftlbs. Slugs 22yard .13 center to center. All groups were sub .24 inch at max power at 22 yards ❤😊😊😊.
JC your video again made me buy an airgun it's working .....I just got the airacuda 25 Cal and I'm going to be testing it out and seeing if I can get numbers close to what you got and seeing if it'll be good I really wanted non-regulated airgun right now I have a whole bunch of regulated ones but I wanted an unregulated one in 25 keep up the good videos.
Enjoy Buddy...you can really crank that thing up and get some good FPE. Have a great Easter!👍🏻😉
This video made me get my airacuda featured on my channel 🤘 always good content
thank you that was an excellent review
Thank you for watching!!
Great Review JC and what a great shooting gun!
Alright bro, I'm ordering this one right now...
Nice informative review. Could you please comment on the different sound levels between this version and the moderated Aircuda Max? Thanks.
Nice review! I just got one in 25 and can say it doesn’t fill like a 7+ pound air gun.
Great review! And yup, I've ordered one. 👍😁 Gotta play the waiting game now. 🤪
Very nice indeed JC. This looks very very similar to the Barra 1100Z is it made by the same OEM?
No, actually it is completely different rifles. No common parts whatsoever. The power these JTS rifles produce is amazing. They have large plenums. Happy Shooting! 👍👍
Excellent work my friend keep the content coming

Did you guys try shooting with a silencer ? Bought a .22 Max here in South Africa based on +/- 8 reviews on the web. The minute you put a silencer on it one can't better 8-10" grouping. Tried FIVE different silencers and A.N.Other tried two with similar results - it shoots like a shotgun with a silencer fitted.
Is this the production model cause I steel hear the ping sound
Happy Holidays to you and yours, JC!
Awesome, great video JC
Very nice rifle! Now you're tempting me (along with the Airacude Max). :)
Hi Steve, this is one sweet rifle. JTS has a couple of amazing rifles!
I wish you would have shown us on this review. What the best pellet would have been out of this rifle. Because we all don't wanna shoot slugs
Any chance JTS will be installing Depingers in these PCP’s? The “Twang” was quite loud.
🤔🤔 the best I can get out my Airacuda 25 cal with the H&N 20 grain pellets is 926 fps and with the JSB 33.95's it drops down to 742 fps !!
@@mary0224 turn the adjustable hammer spring clockwise for more power
@@chrisal36 i did and I can only get 799 fps out of it
@@mary0224 Not bad i think.799 fps with jsb 33.95 almost 48 fpe or 65 joule.your gun is ok
@@chrisal36 but I've talked to others with the same gun as mine and they are getting mid 8's with the same pellet that I'm using and they have not touched there hammer spring ! There hammer spring is almost all the way out and mine is as far in as it will go but I still cant come close to the fps that they are getting ! 😞
Another great review, I appreciate all the time and effort spent making these videos JC, have a great day!
Thanks Phillip. I appreciate you watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
Late here, Nice review boss! JTS seems ok if you get a good one. I have it as well in .25 shoots pretty good. The DAR Gen 3 will knock it out tho💥💪💪💪😱😱😱💯
Hi, J.C.! Well, you convinced me to get into PCPs with your review on the Umarex Origin .22 (and I'm thrilled with it). Until tonight, I had every intention of picking up the .25 cal version, but now I'm in a quandary. I just watched this review of the JTS Aircuda, then went back and watched the Aircuda Max review. I really like the adjustable cheekpiece on the Max, but I want to know if the regulated version is really worth a hundred bucks more. With the adjustable plenum, it seems like you have actually more fingertip adjustability, and your settings on the hammer spring were yielding higher FPS and FPE from the non- regulated gun. I don't think the adjustable cheekpiece in and of itself is worth $100 to me, but what is your opinion of performance differences? (I know the Max gets more shots in the flat of the curve, but accuracy of the standard version is well up to my needs for small to medium game hunting). Any response is greatly appreciated. Also, do you offer a bipod for a single bottom rail mount?
That’s a bad ass pellet rifle 😊
Sir you do some very good videos in my opinion. Very detailed and informative. Thanks for what you do. Now a question. Need something for squirrel control. Leaning toward the jts airacuda. You think this in 25 caliber is neighborhood quiet?
Great review, simple , informative and to the point. Question for you JC, do you think its backyard friendly ? want this one for pest control ^litle black birds¨ i guess on level 3 at 780 feet sec it would have plenty of power, when you go down on power its less noisy . Thanks
Very nice review 👌, what scope and rings you recommend ? I wear glasses., thank you
That PING kills it for me. All the best and thanks for your videos. I think the stock ones are supposed to be being shipped with a de-pinger installed, hope that's right.
You didn't watch to the end, did you?
Great review, one question, sounds like Hammer spring and 5 step pressure adjustment do the same thing. Could you go over that sometime.
Actually, similar but different. The hammer spring creates the pressure on how far and deep the air release value goes inward. More pressure, more velocity and less shots. The 5 setting transfer port controls the amount of air that goes directly the chamber, which gives you simple access and control of the velocity. These settings can all be set for individual shooting preferences. I hope that helps.
Hey man. Great review. Looks like a keeper. Does the Standard model also comes with a 1/2x20 UNF threaded adapter? (Like his bigger brother the Max.)
There a single shot tray from beeman underlever bullpup rifle which directly fit but only .22 cal.
Good job as always JC. Do you think this is better than the DAR Gen 3? Thanks.
Similar but different. You are getting more power out of the JTS, but it is also no regulated. I would also take another look at the JTS Airacuda Max. You can't go wrong with any of those choices. 👍
Wow, My Airracude would not hold air and my Max shot 3-6 inch groups at 35 yards. ...wierd.
I would send it back for another👍🏻
@@AirgunDetectives I did. Hopefully my new ones will shoot better. Thanks for the video!
My standard would hold air at all. It would fill, but wen I went to bleed the airline on the compressor, all the air in the rifle would escape almost instantly. How I fixed it was, I aired it up first, the I put visegrips on the bleed screw on the compressor and I smacked it open with my hand pretty hard. And that fixed it. No more issues, it holds air every time after I fill it. My guess is that the check that's under the nylon washer in the filter fitting was getting stuck open from dirt or oil built up. 😃
Awesome air rifle JC! Very cool wood stock, adjustable power, and super top end power too. two quick questions. Is the rifle you reviewed a full production model? Is the air pressure tube the same size /volume as the Airacuda Max? I give it the rifle a 4.99 rating because the fantastic metal magazines don't have a stop when they are empty! Keep up the fantastic reviews. Timmy is going to be asking you for a Christmas present? LOL
Yes, this is the full production model, and the tanks are the same size in both Airacudas. Hopefully Santa will be good to Timmy!🎅
@@AirgunDetectives inside joke with Timmy. He is jokingly asking airgun UA-camrs for Christmas presents. He really wants the Airacuda in 25 caliber.
@@timmy4539 Santa Gman only brings gifts for children little Timmy. You're 50+ years too late. LOL
@@AirgunDetectives Hay John, what happened with JTS and the smaller private dealers? I was going to buy mine from Flying Dragon. JTS took Mike off the list of sellers? Sucks after all his years selling XISICO products?
That's impressive for the price. I have to pick your brain for a minute. I have never invested in a really high quality air gun. I've been researching the LCS Air Arms .30 caliber SK19. Wow just wow. The consistency and accuracy is off the charts. Man does it hit hard. I watched it bend the shit out of those little metal targets we plink at, at 35 yards. I really like the built in 19 round rotary mag. The pellet ports actually have what looks like rifling in them which helps the pellets seat better and provides a smoother transition in to the bore. It's full and semi auto. The problem is: it costs over 2 grand for just the gun without an optic or bipod. My question for you is: do you know of anything compatible that isn't so damn expensive?
Wait for my review on September 1st. That just may be something you are interested in, and it comes in several calibers. #staytunedforairgundetectives 👍🏻😉
@@AirgunDetectives Will Do! You are either up really early or really late if you're in Ca. I'm near Myrtle Beach and 3 hrs ahead of you. Can you give me a hint lol? Actually the timing is perfect for that review. I'm expecting a rather large check around that time. That's why I'm shopping for my ultimate air gun. I will be done for a while after the .45 and the top of the line semi/full auto I decide on.
Do u prefer this version or the Maxx
Depends... If it is for hunting and taking in the field, I would go with the lighter Airacuda. For all my other shooting, the regulated Air Max.
Hey JC. Great vids. Just wondering if you had to pick between the airacuda .25 or the avenger in .25. I like the two of them but would love to hear what you thought. Thanks in advance, Rob
Great review , does it take a moderator? Ty 😎👍🏻
I can’t decide between the airacuda max or the avenger in .25 cal. Which rifle would you pick?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Love your videos by the way
I'm leaning toward the dark side👍👍
with a scope on it do you ever have an issue with it staying zeroed and accurate
Afternoon JC, I have a couple of questions about your shipping to the Dominican Republic and what would it cost for a rifle, scope, and two cans of ammunition and a hand pump.
I think he reviews them, doesn't sell them.
How would you compare the JTS to the Benjamin marauder?
I know that this is an older thread but I have a question. I've been using a Gamo Swarm Fusion gen 2. I want to move up to a PCP. I was thinking about the Gamo Urban in .22. Now, I am also thinking about this JTS Airacuda Standard or Max version in.22. What do you guys think would be the best out of the three I mentioned?
If choosing one, the JTS Airacuda Max. It is regulated, you get more velocity, a wood stock, a great magazine system, and an outstanding trigger😉👍🏻
I was considering purchasing on of these JTS but in 22 cal with 5 turns in and a 18 grain pellets 40 ftlbs should be manageable. Your thoughts.
Hi Bruce, they are great rifles. You get a lot of rifle for the money, and you have the versatility. Good trigger and really accurate. Happy Shooting Buddy!👍🏻
This or avanger air venturi???
same qusetion
Benefit to both...However the JTS has a price point of $300 and it has a 3000 psi fill, as opposed to the higher pressure fill with the Avenger. The JTS has a nice wood stock and it's not heavy. I like the transfer port adjustment as well as the hammer spring adjustment. I hope that gave you some insight.😉
Is the barrel threaded for a moderator or suppressor?
Great review JC! My only question is? Are the rifles actually made in the U.S. ? Not a make or break for me on buying one but when I go to JTS's website they are very "pronounced" about how they're an all American company based in Texas. Which is GREAT but, there would be some irony to that if the rifles are made in China.
JP
No...Chinese made. Designed here, manufactured there. With these modern CAD machines the technical design info is emailed and directly downloaded into the machines. That's the only way they can be produced for that price. We would always prefer Made on USA, but government regulations has made the cost astronomical on many manufactured products. Anyway, Happy Shooting!
Hey bud how would you rate that with a Benjamin Marauder because I had both and I think I like the jts gun better it's easier to tune I like the magazines I also like the side lever I think that this gun is a lot like The Marauder but they just made it better what do you think
I would have to agree. The JTS is easier to work on and provides an overall outstanding performance. Happy Shooting! 👍
Did you use .249 or .25
does this gun have the same muzzle threads and dimensions as the airacuda max
This may be a good review, but ask yourself why did he do this without a moderator on it? Yes, accuracy goes out the door and you get a lot of clipping. Sadly JTS has not solved this issue. Buyer be concerned!
where are they made, and do you know if they are available in canada
Stock looks way better on this one than their thumb hole stock
Jc how the heck are you getting the fps that you are ?? My 25 with a max power tune is only getting
780 fps !
Are you shooting the same weight of pellets?
@@AirgunDetectives I'm shooting the JSB 33.95's but I want to shoot the FX slugs but everyone tells me that the slugs have to be going at 950-1000+ fps to shoot accurately and I don't know if the 9 grain difference in the weight of to the slug will get the fps from 780 all the way up to the 950 fps everyone tells me that the slugs have to shoot at !
@timmy4539 I was shooting the 28 gr slugs. FPE is your key number. Calculate that and see how you are doing. We were in the mid to high 40's in FPE.
@@AirgunDetectives with the 33.95-s I'm pushing
44.423 fpe
@timmy4539 Ok...so you are really close...I got 46 FPE out of the barrel with the 28 gr slugs.
Hey when you adjust the hammer spring do you let all the air out then adjust it or you can adjust it with Air in it
Leave the air in it...no issue there😉👍🏻
Hi Airgun Detectives, does the JTS Airacuda have a built in suppressor?
It does have a shrouded barrel. I wouldn't list it as a suppressor, but the rifle is not very loud. I would label it "Backyard" friendly.
nice!!
1000fps pellet aint going to shoot well. Back those off to 860 and watch em group.
🎯👍🏻✌🏻

LIKE A SPITBALL THROUGH A STRAW, ALL THIS AIR CRAP, JUST PLINKERS
PING, PING, PING, How can U ignore this?????
Ignore...? I addressed it specifically in the video. The vibration is picked up by the audio of the camera. To the human ear, in real-life, it is not even noticeable. That specific detail was covered in the video. You better take notes..... we are going to have a quiz at the end😉 In all seriousness, thanks for tuning in, I appreciate the support 👍🏻
Bought Aircuda Max Pro .22 about 2 months ago. Aesthentically pleasing and seems to be a good quality gun. However, the reason they could make a nice looking gun for under $500 is because customer service/support is basically nonexistent. Nothing is free in this world! It looks like JTS is just a name they use. JTS has nothing to do with the product once you purchase it. The name of the company that provides zero support is Xisico. For any issues, you have to chase a guy named Travis who rarely responds to anything. Took me 3+ weeks to get a hold of him. Called, emailed, texted...btw, Travis has zero customer service skills and is easily bothered. The whole customer support ordeal felt like a sketchy drug deal. It's is very telling that JTS Airguns UA-cam channel comments are off. You'd think that they'd want to share ideas and encourage participation there. Bet there are a lot of pissed of customers out there! It's an Alfa Romeo of PCP guns. Only good while it runs...I'm just going to buy a Gamo and try to fix this "JTS" myself when I have time and tools. Total scam!
Want an air gun that puts game down just buy airforce.
This may be a good review, but ask yourself why did he do this without a moderator on it? Yes, accuracy goes out the door and you get a lot of clipping. Sadly JTS has not solved this issue. Buyer be concerned!
