Thank you so much here from Israel, desperately searching for for ways to open a path for a way to peace, this is inspiring, finding new old forms of Jewish Muslim togetherness 🙏🏼
Hili, the former King saved fellow Moroccans. Moroccans J ws are seen as part of Moroccan heritage and identity too. They are not "foreigners" Its not "je wish" vs "Muslim" in Morocco and never been. Its Moroccans first and foremost.
Thank you so much. Please stay safe and keep working on peace. The world needs you!!
The way to peace is two states solution. But that will never happen.
@@sinan_islam I agree with you in both opinions. If we go by scripture of the holy book... It is a sad scenario, because it means the Palestinians will never see the light of day unless they fully integrate into Israel AND convert... this is not my opinion just what is written and what is prophecy, it is alarming to me. I wish there was a solution, and I also wish this deity didn't even exitst in the first place if it is causing more pain than good? I want to believe, but this entire conflict makes me doubt faith on all levels. Not only on deities but in humanity and reason itself! Even Science is a belief system!

It is humbling to hear of the Muslims saving Jews. The Vichy regime colloborating with the nazis is important to remeber. The Sultan was a wise and Godly man.
He saved fellow Moroccans. Moroccans J *ws are seen as and considerd(by law) an important part of Moroccan heritage and identity too. They are not "foreigners" or "strangers" Note, this is about Moroccans, not J *ws from other countries.
In Morocco we don’t believe in racism. Everyone’s equal! Jews, Christians and Muslims are all the same. Black, white, Asians etc.. are also all the same
As a proud loyal moroccan Jew, I believe the sacred souls of King Mohamed V together with his son King Hassan II peace be unto them reside in the loftiest heavens. Morocco is a beacon of light.
Long live the Royal family.

Morocco has a rich history, one of the oldest kingdoms in the world beside England & Japan. Thank you for your fascinating video. It was especially interesting to me because when I vacationed in Morocco 25 years ago I visted an enormous Jewish cemetery in Fez and the Jewish quarters of both Marrakech and Fez. Also, during WWII my father served in the Texas 36th Division of the U.S. Army which landed in Casablanca on its way across North Africa prior to the invasion of Italy. I wear an interesting and very old silver ring that a Moroccan man traded for a pack of cigarettes from my father. I enjoyed my visit to Morocco very much and bought two beautiful handmade rugs. As I recall, there is Place Mohammed V in Paris, France in honor of Sultan Mohammed V. He was a great man for saving so many Jews from the nazis.

After my talk on the PhD thesis at Peoples' Friendship University another graduate student from Morocco (I just remember his name Mustafa), who worked with the same scientific leader,, approached and congratulated on the successful defense of my PhD thesis. He gave me a huge bouquet of red gladioli, the bouquet was like half of my height (I am 160 cm tall), and it was huge. The gladioli were so beautiful. I was greatly impressed and, you know, there were many cordial congratulations after the talk of course, but that bouquet ..., I always remember it. Mustafa was known as a very kind and good person, hopefully he is doing well now, if God may Bless his heart. So I am not surprised that the author of this film (also from Morocco) is trying to find a peaceful resolution to the terrible problem, and presents facts to help it. Thank you very much for your great historical film. If God may Bless you as well.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. By the way, I am not from Morocco but deeply love the people of Morocco

Yes he helped Algeria too. I’m originally from oujda I remember my grandfather stories about the war in Algeria and how the sultan Mohamed opened the borders for them and asked every single person in Morocco to open their house to the Algerians and if any Moroccans complained he will he to jail lol. My grandfather welcomed a whole family coming from Oran and they’re still friends until now

3xcellent content. He saved fellow Moroccans. He said righfully :
"There are no J* ws in Morocco. There are only Moroccan subjects,”
Moroccan J ws are regarded as or not "foreigners" Unlike Europe, the J ws of Morocco are seen as "native" too, who practised often similar Berber or Amazigh traditions. So they are considered Moroccans, only with a different faith.❤ Morocco has acknowledged by law that Moroccan J ws are a very importsnt component in Moroccan idenity. Who shaped the countries cultural tradition too. So they are not "new comers" to Morocco but where there long before Christismity and even Islam reached present day Morocco.
Thank you.
Yes, I believe also that the Yahuwdim, wrongly labelled "Jews" were there before
chr stianity and isl m.
It is very important in these divisive times to have detailed accounts like this, of the possibility of mutual respect and integrity above any and all differences that may exist in the belief systems and cultures of people on this planet. Knowledge like this will surely help to save lives. Thank you
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment.

In Israel most jews doesn't feel a special connection with the land that their ancestors came from before moving to Israel with the rare exception of Morocco. Every one has a special story about the country and the monarchy. My family per say is Moroccan Jewish that migrated to the Brazilian Amazon, for 7 Generations we never identified ourselves as Brazilians, but as Moroccan Jews (this is how I identify myself, even though never been to Morocco), we kept the language Haketia and traditions including mimouna, but the most interesting thing is that my greatgrandfather had a photo of Mohamed V together with Baba Sali and Ribbi Shimon Bar Yochai. We included a special prayer for him every yer on his aniversary of death.
We are aware that during our stay in Morocco not everything was perfect such as the case of Solika Hachuel (haSedaka, Lala Solika) but overall was a much better experience than most other places.
You have the right to apply for your Moroccan nationality. Moroccan J ws are Moroccan first and foremost, and are considered part of Moroccan heritage and identity too. You are very welcome to come to visit your country.
