I am trying to turn on the AC remotely using honda city app but it is throwing error remote operation cannot be executed if SVT is switched on. How to overcome this?

You both dont know anything about it. While overtaking you will understand why paddles are used. There are very less vdos on paddle shifters bcz half of the population doesnt know about it. When this feature will be gone from honda and other lower end cars, Indians will start crying like they are crying for endeavour, civic etc.

In D mode it gives you gear control for a few seconds, sometimes very useful in overtaking at higher speed by downshifting

No need. But while downshifting if you keep the accelerator pressed, car will accelerate too fast (helps in overtaking)

No you don't have to release your gas pedal, the cvt will automatically manage the engine speed. smoothly

I am using Amaze petrol CVT. It is exactly the same no difference
Yes the transmission system is same as city just less power due to 1.2L Engine but good choice nonetheless.

U cannot expect milage once u start revv ur engine to that extent ... should drop to 6 or 7 km per ltr

This is use only for sport mode.
For overtaking on highways or empty roads its helpful ... else within city limits D more is more than enough ...

It harms the engine if your RPM needle goes in the red zone. Else it will only result in poor mileage.
Whether CVT or Manual will give better mileage?
I've booked New Honda City ZX CVT considering the City trafic and my age (60).
Go for CVT
CVT is best it gives same mileage as manual but if you want extra performance you should go for manual. For City only you should go for CVT

S means Sequential mode, not Sports mode as mentioned by you, do take a note of it.
