The Sacred Black Elk Peak

Here, we have the view from Black Elk Peak itself! As mentioned in my last film, it is the highest point east of the Rocky Mountains. Black Elk was a revered religious leader of the Oglala Lakota nation. It is believed that this was where Black Elk himself received his Great Vision. Therefore, this site is regarded as being very sacred to the Lakota nation. This was a bit of a challenging hike to get up here, but the view was oh so worth the effort. Here's a little glimpse ;).
