Getting our 2016 / 2017 models replaced next year. I like the satnav system with the routes set into it, we work from memory here. It's not usually a problem unless you get an agency/ spare driver.
Sounds good I take it you guys run Dennis elites? The sat nav units have the routes and all the permits and houses that are allowed 2 household bins ,it's handy if your a spare driver like me and your not sure of the permits.
@@billythebintruckdriver3952 yeah we've got the Dennis eagle elites. I think it's the elite 6 but I may be wrong And we also have the 7.5 ton isuzu forward food waste trucks. Fingers crossed management bless us with the sat nav system. As I said it's not usually a problem as long as there's at least a driver or 1 loader who knows the route, but getting put on a different round with 2 new loaders is a right pain in the ass!!
Nice review mate! 3 years is quite a short time to keep your trucks for, in fairness though yours do 2 shifts a day whereas most councils don't do that which is probably why they keep theirs for longer than yous do
I take it you don't mean the current mileage as that's on the tacho and the Speedo odometer on the dashboard. We don't take printouts at all tbh,not even off the tacho

How long do your trucks take to start on freezing cold mornings? Do they take longer when they haven't been used for several days?
To be honest they start straight away, although where I live in Scotland it doesn't really go much below freezing in winter that much
Hi mate, i drove one of these a few days ago, I couldnt find the mileage readout to put on my defect sheet. Any ideas? Thanks
