Walter Schreifels and Bob Mould are like the unsung songwriter-guitar heroes of the entire punk/hardcore/alternative movement from the late 70s-2000s. I'd put them right up there with Kurt Cobain.
This Guy is an absolute Legend. Thank you String Theory for showcasing some of the most underrated Guitarists, and Musicians. Oh,and Ernie Ball strings are the best..
Quicksand's album Slip came out in 1993,and I got to see them opening up for Anthrax that same year, and I still jam Slip in my car TO THIS DAY. Rival Schools United By Fate was an excellent CD too,Look up Good Thins here on UA-cam. Good stuff, and also check out the latest Quicksand release Interiors. Walter has had a long career and I've always felt he was always under the radar,so it's cool to see that Ernie Ball has him and Fender has his bass player Sergio Vega both on UA-cam with in a couple of months from each other.
Next String Theory requests: - Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit) - Paul McCartney - Angus Young (AC/DC) - James Hetfield (Metallica) - Mark Hoppus (Blink-182) - Noodles & Dexter Holland (The Offspring) - Jeff Waters (Annihilator) - Jaret Reddick (Bowling For Soup)

GB and Quicksand two of my lifetime favs.
One of the most underrated musicians of all time. How Walter isn't a household name is beyond me...
This guy has done so much for punk and alternate music. I owe him a huge debt that I'll never be able to pay for the inspiration he's given me
Watching this Amazing Video again. Got to see the Mighty Quicksand and meet this Beautiful Human Being a year ago. Still feeling the experience.
Walter Schreifels is one of the dudes that really made me wanna play guitar and learn any Quicksand song that I could
No hate in the comments.
Proof of how respected Walter is.
Fantastic feature.
...and Omission 🤘🤘

His bass playing in Youth of Today will Blow your fucking mind. Check out the Hate5six video of Youth of Today at TIHC 2016. His energy 🤯🤯🤯

Walter !!!? Omg !!! One of my heroes 🦸♂️
There are a ton of great string manufacturers out today, but I choose Ernie Ball. I love the tone and feel when I string them on my Kiesel.
Yeah Wally!
Quicksand was awesome.
Whoa! Walter is one of the very few unsung guitar heroes around.
What a Tone !! what pedals he's using ?? I need to know
A fender twin has never sounded so rich and saturated,

Keanu Reeves plays some amaze guitar
Cool new music
I thought I was watching Keanu Reeves at 2:56 lol
Saw this guy on the title fight she documentary and didn’t realize he had something to do with half the bands I listen to
Digging the fact that Walter has started playing more offsets lately -- Jazzmasters, Mustangs, even a Kurt Cobain Signature Edition Jaguar
Nice!!! Gorilla!!! Biscuits!!!
This guy looks like Keanu Reeves when he plays the guitar
What song is he playing at around the 11 minute mark?
I think it's Omission from Quicksand's first 7".
Used for glue!
Mau string user 13/20w/30/40/50/60 titanium love material
