Being a UA-camr is all about finding that winning combination and key to success. It's same like running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of Famester of course to help) will always pay off at the end. For me it’s all about doing something I love. We would love to have enough success to do it for a living. But we don’t have our mindset on fame. If anything that was an argument against our channel. I’ve had other channels with not massive success but if they started getting views I would get scared and delete or private the videos. 😂 it’s true. I don’t want to be huge. But having a modest community that at least helps facilitate our hobby, or facilitates us doing it full time I would be extremely grateful.

Hi. I'm 17 and this is probably the first time I've made the effort of commenting on an UA-cam video. Just wanted to let you know how much you've impacted my life and molded me into who I am today. This is one of the very few channels that make me constantly think, reevaluate and question my believes and ideologies that eventually gives me a better understanding of myself and the universe around me, and for that I'm truly very grateful.

I drive truck for a living, I like listening to this kind of content while driving. It's more mentality engaging than music and makes me feel like I'm learning or multitasking while driving. I also find these videos great to fall asleep too.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say that what you have achieved is simply fantastic. Your story is a combination of sadness, difficult times, moments of happiness where the journey never seemed to end and successful collaborations. I've been watching your videos for a few years now and didn't realise how much you and your team have grown in that time and I'm really happy for all the people who can live their dream without burning out. Not all of us have that privilege.
I don't know when you cracked the 2 million subscriber mark, but I see this video as your 2 million subscription special. I hope that despite this great collaboration with Underknown, your videos will still retain that unique feeling when watching them. It's just a kind of calm that you rarely get in everyday life. And finally, I wonder if you're still using free stock footage or if you're already paying for it, because it just looks fantastic...
Honestly, if you want to hear stories of difficult times and sadness, talk to any of the 99% of channels that have yet to make it. Aperture got picked up by the algorithm only 4 months after posting his first video, which is insanely lucky. But then he walked away, came back 7 months later, and posted another video...which ALSO got picked up by the algorithm. The sheer amount of luck involved in that cannot be understated.
I like this channel too, but you can't ignore the insane amount of luck he's experienced. His story sounds like the universe was just waiting for him to take any small action so that it could make sure things fell into place and worked out.
This video genuinely made me tear up. I love your channel because it not only explains how the universe works but also how we perceive it and react to its stimuli. You remind me that existence is amazing even though it's sometimes painful, and you indirectly helped me go through so many things in life. The fact that all of this wouldn't have been possible without people like me feels almost surreal. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us, and thank you so much for not quitting even when times were hard.

damn its been 5 years since I started watching you in 2018 i was in high school then I did my diploma and I am now in 3rd year of my degree I got a drop year cause I had some backlogs and felt burned out but your vids are like a prayer to me like an act I have to do to go through my week and yes your channel is like a golden record bolted on voyager of internet and i hope all your dreams come true and thank you mc
Feelin' you on a lot of these points. I always feel very lucky though that my videos are what I did in my head anyway before UA-cam, but just without the filming or uploading. Took over 6 years to build up to be able to do it full-time so I had a longer climb (and still WAY behind your numbers), but I think the slow rise took much of the stress off since I felt it build brick by brick. Congrats on all your success and hope you're able to keep it going without anymore burnout. I'm seeing more and more YT'ers falling off lately. :(

Good god this is relatable. Nowhere near your audience size yet but it still feels like that- even when I take breaks my love for insects and spiders keeps calling me back. This is what I'm supposed to be doing, but it is hard sometimes. So so hard.
I found your channel while I was searching for a video to fall asleep to, as I watched the video I could see the amount of time and energy being put into it.
I went to your channel the next night, and the night after. After seeing you make videos with such a great amount of effort, and not just making them to cater to the algorithm, made me subscribe.
Your channel is one of the very few left that is fueled by passion and interest, rather than just doing the next trend that everyone is clicking on. Even though it may not always feel like it, keep it up you're doing so well.
You never truly know what sort of impact you have on others lives. Just keep doing what makes you happy and your viewers will keep enjoying the content. Not everyone will like every video, but that doesn’t matter, because each video will impact everyone differently. As long as you’re happy with the content, that’s what counts.
The amazing thing about philosophy, sociology, and to some extent science, is that there is no "wrong", there's just opinions.
I don't watch you because i think you are right, I simply like your opinions and want to know what you think about subjects that i know little about.
Although i do love these subjects, I don't have the time or discipline to learn more about them, and i wouldn't know where to start anyway. But you give the big picture, what's important to know regardless if it may be "wrong".
There are lots of other youtubers that talk about the same subjects and have their own views on things and own way of describing it, exurb1a has a more vulgar/rough approach where melodysheep will have a more theatrical approach.

i remember seeing that first video. i was skeptical about you. great visuals from a channel that didnt have any videos. what was this? a re-upload from some really talented creator? a robot? a one off project? only once you started to upload consistently for real did i really understand that you were not only a good youtuber. but one of my favorite STEMish centered channels. thanks aperture, hope you are and remain well.

The way you talk about life and the phenomenon surrounding it just resonates with me on a completely different level.
