Passengers scream on Mallorca flight as plane hit by storm after P&O cruise ship crashed

- Passengers screamed and cried on a flight between Alicante and Mallorca, Spain as the plane was hit by a storm on Sunday, 27 August.
The footage was recorded by Estela Orts, who stars as Captain Scarlet in the famous Pirates show of Magaluf.
Sharing the video of the incident on her Instagram, the Spanish dancer and acrobat said: "The plane started to fall. People and children [were] screaming, being sick, I couldn't help crying. I don't know how long that moment lasted but it felt eternal. Until the pilot managed to stabilise the plane, it was like a roller coaster."
The fierce winds also caused a P&O cruise ship to collide with a freight vessel, injuring a small number of people, according to the cruise operator.

I just read the news about it. They lost 1000 Meters in 60 Sec, so yea, it was not just "normal" turbulence but a strong storm. Also the pilot didnt warned them in advance.
@@lars4127 Severe turbulence means people and objects are flying, and plane should even survive that. This all looks like pretty normal.
As a person with severe fear of flying, I feel for all the passengers. Terrible
I feel for 90% passangers who where annoyed by the f* screaming
Those people just have fun. Nothing out of the ordinary. Ask all passengers and only a few will tell you, they where scared.
There's a place for screaming at a funfair, there is NOT one on a plane!
I wasn't in that exactly fly but the same day I went in a Zaragoza - Mallorca fly, with the same Storm. The pilot sounded scared. We weren't having fun. We were crying
There is no point in screaming, crying, shouting or trying to get off, all of which just worry you further and could put you in danger. You will be FINE. The pilots know what they're doing and are specifically trained for these conditions. Just stay calm.
Easier said than done, but it's correct-- the pilots (experienced ones only, nobody needs an inexperienced pilot in command) are adept at handling crosswinds. I saw some people laughing and they were people I'd never trust. But, it's like my bf said, '"If the plane crashes we wouldn't know anything anyway.
The real horror here are the people/children screaming. Never ever go on an airplane without headphones.

If you just closed your eyes and listened to the audio,...you wouldn't be able to tell if this was passengers on a flight @ 35,000 feet/10,000 meters .... _OR_ ,....people riding the new roller coaster @ your local, amusement park! 😎😉

Because there are only a few people who scream. The majority has no problem with this and some have even fun.
These planes are designed for this 😂 the drama out of some people is crazy, would you scream like this on a train?

Trains don't fall out of the sky.
Experienced people know that nothing will happen. An aircraft is designed for turbulences, which are far more severe than them on this video.
And as we can see, there are still people laughing.
The problem is that this was a typical tourist flight. There is not such a screaming or panic in flights to destinations, in which there are mainly business travel passengers.

@@danieljackson4511 not really... Flying ✈️ is safer than driving. Right now there is still Soo much demand that the airlines and the airports can't handle it. Plus there are staffing issues that will take quite a long time to rectify.
The safest way to travel.
@@miclu_x depends on the airline. Lufthansa has become so bad lately, that I am not sure anymore, whether they maintain their planes thoroughly.

Als Vielflieger habe ich ein mal erlebt, dass es ein paar ziemlich heftige Schüttler gab. War von Peking nach Frankfurt (oder München - weiß ich nicht mehr). Da saß auch ein kleiner chinesischer Junge, dem es sichtlich gefiel und der jedes Mal gelacht hat, wenn die Erwachsenen einen Schrei ausstießen :D
