    I accidentally separated the pulley from the bracket. Is there anything I'm supposed to when bolting both back together?

    The early service info for these engines was incorrect in the positioning of the crank timing mark. Timing mark on the cover had to align with the trailing edge of the tooth with the timing mark. I had one of these engines drive me nuts with that. Apparantly the service info was revised at some point. Also I read that the crank sprocket timing mark was moved the slight amount to allow a straight alignment with the mark on the block. I believe the discrepancy was was on the first 2 production years but im not certain...i was able to find the correct info on alldata.

    What is the mileage/ time requirement fro replacing the timing belt ? I assume that the 2.4 is an interference engine. Thanks

    • @NobleAutomotive
      @NobleAutomotive  4 роки тому

      It's a non interference engine. Based on 12000 miles a year it should be replaced at 102000 miles or 8 years. Thank you for watching

      @@NobleAutomotive pretty sure it is interference

      @@teevee2145the 2.4 is non interference with the pistons contracting the valves. The only reason it would have valve damage, is if the belt broke at high RPM’s. The valve would overlap each other.

    I have a 2007 pt cruiser put a new crank , crank sensor ,cam sensor and new belt in it . lined up the crank and cam pulleys twice car starts right up but idles rough and engine tester says that the crank and cam sensors are not lined up right error code p00216. what am i doing wrong

    • @NobleAutomotive
      @NobleAutomotive  3 роки тому

      Now usually if the crank is advanced the engine run rough but be more peppy if it's retarded then it will run real smooth but have poor power so I would think if it was me I would put everything in line Then loosen up the tensioner moved the crank gear back one tooth try that and see what happens it won't hurt your engine

    • @NobleAutomotive
      @NobleAutomotive  3 роки тому

      Now when I say back I mean counter clockwise one tooth

      It's been a while since I've done this video. And I don't really remember any kind of issue with AAC getting in the way.
