- The long awaited answer for the question to how Eli Vance lost his leg is finally upon thy screens.
Many had theorized that the limb accident had occurred after the Resonance Cascade, but classified footage of the Mini Cascade from the Black Mesa facility showed a different reality that would confuse and infuriate those who would see it.
The facility was quick to give him a high quality prosthetic leg as to hide the aftermath of the accident, tho that would be but a whimper against the wind's upcoming storms.
One could say it made no sense for Eli to lie about how he lost his precious limb. But the truth wasn’t further from the fact that thinking about the wretched Black Mesa facility wasn’t good on Eli’s mental health and the fact that he had known about the Xen creatures and teleportation, yet had not done enough to prevent the Cascade and the following invasion of Earth.

eli actually mentions he lost his leg to a bullsquid in his dialogue, so it's pretty accurate to say the least

I remember the beta storyline mentioned something about Kliener and Eli getting into City 17 and Eli losing his leg in the process.

@@ottozero543 That isn't true. The wounded scientist is Kleiner and the Black Scientist helping him is Eli. It's even mentioned in Half - Life 2.
@TheTributer2912 eli talked about that situation in half life 2, but he did not mention kleiner. When does he mention kleiner when talking about that?
I think he was because in half life 2 Eli says that the last time he saw you was when he asked you to go to the surface and get help.

Eli vance was stranded in the room where he and Isaac Kleiner were trying to repair the malfunctioning device during the black mesa accident, or have you forgotten that? It's nice that way too but independent of the main story

The whole sequence with the bullsquid teleporting in and the vending machine falling on Otis had me rolling with laughter. Very well done Inlet! You never fail to impress!
Poor Otis just wanted a snack, but Bullsquid came and ruined everything.
I also expected Otis to eat Eli's leg here
Now that could've definitely happened if he had failed to get anything from that vending machine.

Thats not how he lost his leg in half life 2 he said he was in the test chamber guiding gordon with the test sample, he could have lost his leg trying to escape the residents cascade and he also stated that he heard the g man wisper in his ear saying "prepare for unforseen consequences" so yea.
tbh i would want a half life mod in which you play as eli getting out of black mesa, it would be a cool mod probably
