Alicia Moon try Isla st Clare when the pipers play.
It means more when you study the history of cajuns. No matter how bad they were chased out, the music lifted their hearts and patriotism. God bless them. My daddy was Cajun.
I'm from Kentucky..been to Louisiana twice and I loved it. Absolutely beautiful.I'm hoping to move there soon...
Yeet yeet

Thank you. The first song is "Lafayette Waltz" by Clifton Chenier from his album "Louisiana Blues and Zydeco". See UA-cam notes for purchase. The second tune is , "Quo Faire/Jolie Bassette (What To Do / Pretty Bassette)" by Geno Delafose from the album " La Chanson Perdue" . It's good to keep a healthy respect of snakes, particularly in areas where they are likely to be.
God's country! Lovely people! Delicious food. Great time! Thank you for such beautiful music video. So peaceful and tranquil.

Used to love to go dancing with my dad and my Pawpa to this beautiful music. Nothing like doing the cajun waltz with someone you love.
December 2014, we just came back from visiting Lafayette and a bit of Cajun country. What a great place to spent time. Great peoples, great music and excellent food. But the best part is that my wife and I could end up living there if we are lucky enough to be hired as French teacher next year. Please wish us good luck because we want to learn more about the Cajuns and their wonderful culture.
simongagnez Hello from France. :)
Good luck. I hope it works out.
John Kindle lop
Did it happen for you?
Amazing scenery! I want to go there now! Thank you for the upload!
Love this song. Been in my music for a long time.
Gosh, this area is a tough place to live and survive, My mother grew up in the 1920's in a small shack that was up on stilts. She used to tell us stories about how to go into the water, how to carefully enter and exit the little place. Keep food and how to basically survive in the swamps.
Look outs when going to the little boats and such watching for the gators and snakes. Such an surreal place lost in time. Spectacular!
Beautiful. I watched this several times on full screen. Thank you.
Grew up in Louisiana. Both the music and the video are so nostalgic!
As a resident of Northwest Pennsylvania we have some beautiful country up here, primarily the Allegheny mountain range. I have never been to the Bayou but it is on my bucket list

'Twas a beautiful video... Thank you!
I love my home state!
Great video! Grew up in Slidell during the 60' and 70's but I think we were the only family in Slidell that didn't have a boat. Didn't get a chance to experience the swamp like you see in the video. Still, was a fun place to grow up in ( but the humidity will kill you) and like with many places just like the Dallas area where I live now over population has really destroyed Slidell. I really miss the old Slidell.
This looks like Pearl River. I wish I were there. So much fun.
Yes, it is the West Pearl River and some of its bayous.
Beautiful..muchas gracias..Love the music and the view. Louisiana is the best
Hi from Southeast Louisiana! Love my state and our people!

That beat precedes the internal combustion engine, and yet mimics perfectly an engine with one cylinder misfiring.
thank you my dear, hahahaha, I know the music, hahaha, I hurt the ear, by cons landscapes are beautiful, for cons, I never bathe in the water very murky, hahaha thank you for this video, of Louisiana A big thank you

@Nik2555
Those huts are called camps by the locals and are usually for weekend getaways. I've never been in one, but I don't think they see the big spiders inside. The spiders aren't very common and generally stay in the wild.
i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Louisiana!!!! thank you dear precious God for making such a place!!!!! :) only a God as big as mine could create this!
Great video and great songs!
Looks like the Pearl River? Love it!!!!
carreful with the night folk
If you were an over-the-road trucker, you would go by, near or through most of these kinds of places in America.
The only place in the USA I wish I could visit.
