The King is determined to carry on. Admirable. At the age of 75 enduring chemotherapy must be exhausting. My father was 80 when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Fortunately, it was very early and he had radiation. My father was in good shape, but it really knocked him off his feet quite literally.
I know. I'm 83. Early discovery and radiotherapy in 2022. Final follow-up appt this August. Looks like I'm a survivor. The King, Princess Catherine, and the Duchess of York are in my prayers.

Personally l think all the red surrounding our King is to fade out his uniform
the artist has said this portrait was started when HM was still The Prince of Wales, so as he was Colonel of the Welsh Guards, he is wearing the uniform.
but the artist was only halfway through it when HM became King
and things, as Monarch he became Colonel in Chief of ALL the household division and passed the Colonelcy to the new Prince of Wales
so the uniform was inappropriate
