    Donald Sutherland does a great job of doing exposition. A extremely hard thing to do in any movie for TV show.

    The mayor in The Dark Knight had a better protection detail in that parade scene than the President did in Dallas that day.
    Remember in The Dark Knight when that window opens up and you see police snipers immediately firing at it?

    ANd no one ever even asked why JFK's cursed DRIVER put the brakes on when it was clear they were under fire. He all but stopped the car and posed JFK for the head-shot.

    • @37Dionysos
      @37Dionysos 6 років тому +2

      Putting JFK's car first was miles off standard order. If you've been under fire coming down the street (even "fireworks" is a no-no), an agent is trained to haul instant ass, and his way is clear. Instead, as I said he "all but stopped" and multiple witnesses say so. You can see him turn full-around to watch the last shot, and only then somehow he knows what to do? "Oswald alone"----please.

    Whether Oliver Stone intended to or not, the whole movie (not just this scene) illustrates how easily a person can get sucked into the numerous conspiracy theories, can get spun around in circles, and wind up going in all directions.

      Oliver Stones movie lead directly to the formation of the Assassination Records Review Board that discovered and made public the Northwoods document. Talk shit all you want. Oliver Stone did America the biggest favor any movie maker has ever been able to give. Ever heard of Doug Horne? Here ya go. You are welcome. The second link is an interview with the man this X character was based on. Notice he says the exact same things X does in this scene. Stone was more accurate than you realize from the slander he has gotten. ua-cam.com/video/svDEw3Jgkw8/v-deo.html

      clyde you're a fucking moron if you still believe that after looking at the evidence. You can't debunk a single thing in this movie. Not a single point. You must be lacking basic common sense if you think there was any less than 2 shooters

    • @AverageAlien
      @AverageAlien 6 років тому

      I'm talking about the shooting don't change the subject. If you actually believe there was only one shooter you have either never looked at any facts or you are stupid

    • @AverageAlien
      @AverageAlien 6 років тому +1

      You have to be extremely uneducated or something. Not only is the video of the incident extremely strong evidence, but the fact that it's impossible to fire three shots from a bolt action sniper, in less than 6 seconds and hit your target, and somehow manage to stroll away casually from the crime scene, and then shoot a police officer, which witnesses claim he didn't, and then go to the cinema and not pay despite having money and then having a shit ton of cops show up as if they knew somehow, and then he gets shot for the stupidest ever reason. Bullshit.
      There were multiple snipers spotted, multiple gunshots, different directions, different witnesses, Lee was framed, it's obvious. Lee Harveys shooting skills were deemed decent at best, by the way.

      So how did RFK take a call from Hoover telling him about the shooting then? Google the 'JFK 100' - it's a website by a chap who has researched and (more importantly) referenced everything, and can categorically prove that the phones did not go down. He even highlights someone who was in DC at the time bringing Oliver Stone up on it, and Stone couldn't reply. Why? Because he made it up.

      +Dominick Fischer he was a huge threat to the establishment.
      think about it
      he wouldn't invade cuba during the missile crisis. he Blundered the bay of pigs and got over 1000 Cia agents killed.
      he pulled out of operation mongoose
      he pulled of operation Northwoods.
      he was set to abolish the federal Reserve on November 25th 1963 and replace everything with silver notes to prevent future deficits.
      he eliminated the oil depletion allowance.
      he went after US steel and accused them of price fixing and asked them to lower their pricing .
      he was ready to pull out of Vietnam when the military badly wanted a war . he pulled out of Laos which pissed off the military and Cia .
      he was accused of communist pandering because the Berlin Wall happened under his watch .
      civil rights was heating up and he was very unpopular in the south with desegregation and abolishing jim crow laws .
      it was a perfect storm and unfortunately for jfk he was 50 years ahead of his time . all those stances are popular today . but at the height of the cold war and the height of segregation, those stances we're not popular.
      plus rfk went after the mafia that helped get jfk elected . plus hoover was in tight with the mob .
      plus all of jfk sexua l affairs were embarrassing the administration. Marilyn Monroe, mary meyer, Judith campbell, and others .
      it was just a perfect storm .

    This entire scene and really the whole movie, except for a few snippets of truth here and there, is pretty much total B.S. Not only that but what Oliver Stone didn't put in the movie was what really sets this movie as an act of fiction.

    Believe what you want to, but William Greer took the kill shot. Watch the Zapruder film. Not the one in black in white the orignal in color. Also watch the unzoomed version. Kind of hard not to see Greer pull a pistol and turn around.

      Do we know if Greer was left handed? If he was not, it would be a little iffy that he would be given the task of the fatal shot. But, the driver slowed the vehicle to an almost stop when the headshot came which means the driver could have physically made the shot.

    • @jafocharlie848

      Yes. As the motorcade suddenly accelerated, the secret service agent fell backward, whom was semi standing in the back seat of another car. This caused him to pull back on the trigger of his long gun as he fell backward. The type of ammo in his weapon would have created the type of devastating wound the President received.

      sadly the book mortal error (or the documentary based on it , the smoking gun ) is not what you think it is . firstly not one witness inside the queen mary (thats the secret service follow up car) or outside it said they saw hickey fire or that they heard a shot from his direction . not one piece of ballistic evidence points to his gun and the ammo it used , which it should have if he fired . unless of course you wish to assert that the ballistics evidence was tampered with . that would put all the ballistics evidence in serious doubt .
      hickey and two others sued the author / publishers etc of that book . they had to settle the 3 lawsuits . they waited till hickey died and resurected this nonsense in a video . half the video was about howard donahue saying oswald did it alone , the other half saying hickey fired the fatal shot . what the video didnt mention was that donahue was actually involved in pushing the theory that hickey killed jfk while going on tv saying oswald fired all shots . either way donahue gained .
