In-game attitude often reflects our attitude outside of the game. Not managing our emotions during a game can literally tighten our muscles, making it harder to aim properly. Anxiety and fear will limit your brains capacity for good decision making and lead to rash decisions. Mastering mentality is the absolute fundamental and it builds a solid ground on which we can grow as a player and as a person.
Exactly. I've been trying to learn not to tilt to random team members since I almost always soloQ, and there's alot of hateful people on who brings teammates down. If you miss a shot, get called noob etc etc you know. It has increased my winrate already.
I'm about to play 12 hours a day (or find my Max hour burnout output and play just under it) I'm going to recorded it all raw just to prove to my self I'm not wasting time. This is my last chance 36 year old dream with unwavering determination. The mental art of poker is the book and helped alot. Thank you styko, I don't plan on editing or updating because my passion is elsewhere but if u want the footage to teach the grind I'm down. I have no copyright u can have it like open source in a Dropbox at a time everyday. I start in 48 hours my wife has given me till February cs hall pass. Been playing for 10+ years broken up by deployments. 4 months ago I locked in got experience growing a team and igl getting coached by pros and seeing the game from another light. I love this new 2sens movment meta I'm eager. I have so much to share on how to streamline growth. Your passion is teaching in 2025 and mine is playing. I give u exclusive insight 🎉 ty for beeing a pillar of the cs community
Thanks for mentioning slumps and how you approach them, I play a lot of Premier mm games and find myself slumping for L streaks so it's nice to how someone else sleeps gameplay slumps,
Your content is such high quality and amazing please never stop. These days I have 0 motivation to play cs but channels with content like yours really keeps brining me back ❤
I think 1 imore mportant thing is to have fun. Most of us are just players playing the game for the joy of it, having fun and actually trying enjoying the process of the game usually help to ease up the pressure of winning a lil bit.
Evaluating the situation by rough percentages is something that actually helped me. I was imagining it like the chess evaluation bar that engines use. Also, it surprised me how many pros will spend hours in private servers by themselves just jumping around and trying random stuff. I found this true in other games as well
Not gonna lie I’ve been getting to the point where I can go blow for blow in head to heads with level 9-10s in comp matches, like really leveled up my mechanics and gamesense, but I’m too scared to hit the FACEIT ladder 😭
Nothing to worry about. I don't mean this to sound harsh but no one cares how good or bad you are outside of your teammates for those 30 minutes and after that they aren't thinking about you
The same goes for real life as well. Outside of a few people close to you no one thinks about you for a second so you can literally do whatever you want that doesn't harm others
@@1nstantCS you're right, faceit matches just seem like they half the time end up going into OT and stressing me the fuck out lol, just gotta treat it like regular pugging.
I have been in a slump for a while now and I have been changing resolutions constantly. In the end of the day I returned to my original res before the slump and I simply stopped giving a shit. I was actually amazed that I was top fragger for several games plus I often times won 1v2 duels/entries. Mechanics are important but if you burn out yourself with your ambition to improve, you will be slumping and overthinking constantly. Sometimes you just need to let go and the skills will show themselves.
Big thanks styko ! I just realised i heavly rely on aim to be on point to get dopamine from winning good games but when my aim fails me i get angry and i feeel like im in a swump !
@@STYKO English is an outrageously difficult language for pronunciation, and believe me your pronunciation is generally very good. It has so many words that simply don't make sense. Demon being "deemon" and demo being "deh-mo" is just one of countless examples. Also for that one it is "dah-tah" in England and Australia where I am from, and "day-tah" in the USA so either is fine.
been slumping since july, dropped from lvl 9 to lvl 6 losing 650 elo, but gonna rethink everything and stop blaming it on bad aim. i need to rework how i play and how i think

I reach level 10 in 621 matches ,solo max ELO 2061 , but right now I have realy bad days and now I lost 350 ELO , One match I carry but still lose ,another match bottomfragger everyone trashtalking me ofc , It feel faceit dont want me on this elo , still I dont understand in some things in this game after 9 years hard to play, faceit make sure sou gonna lose this match bcs from my opinion everyone needs to have atleast 50% winrate, maybe i need the brake ……😢
@STYKO idk what am i doing wrong, as i am experienced player with 5k matches on faceit, just a 2k elo player, i grind daily and i play solo, can i have like demo review or something
In the description of every video there is a link for my individual coaching where I also provide Demo Review 😊 However, currently I am fully booked but once my schedule clears I will re-open the commissions. Link -> ko-fi.com/STYKO/commissions
I've been mainly a VALORANT player; but I could see the same concept being applied in Val and other games as well (especially counting the percentage one -- really reminds me of evaluation bars of Chess games). Very well said!
lvl 10's lvl dropped significantly, it's way easier to hit it, just play for yourself if u have an A game, try to support more if teammates are doing the work for you :)
STYKO im better then you in cs i have more experience and play higher sens i can make circles around you and you probably think this is not the truth because of ur ego
STYKO bailing me out right before I can get back to grinding pugs again holy thank you
You got this! Good luck 🙏🏽😊

ladder anxiety is really a thing. I had it at some points during my career and I know couple of other pro players mentioned it, too.
