I'm 61, widowed and always had spiritual struggles. I'm suffering and all I listen to anymore is the Bible and Martin Lloyd Jones (especially the sermons on spiritual depression). How many times has his sermons got me through from day to day, I still listen, over and over again. A true teacher of God's word.
The MLJ Trust is a magnificent treasure house of the (life giving) sermons of the finest no-nonsense preacher of the 20th Century. I confess to being addicted to hearing the phrase: "The words that I would like to call your attention to are....." My personal journey with Jesus Christ my blessed Lord and Saviour has been lavishly enriched by the helps I continually receive as I listen to these rich and vibrant sermons. To see that dearest of gentlemen, enjoying his leisure in the company of his nearest and dearest is a profound pleasure. Many thanks.
I met your Grandmother, Bethan many years ago. I believe it was in the summer of 1983. I was not a Christian however, many years later I would remember her gracious kindness to me and read your grandfather's book The Cross. I listen to his sermons daily now. What a gift they were to me, and a world so lost that even I could not fathom what was coming. Your grandfather knew though. God bless you for all you do to keep his sermons current! This world still has his preaching and books to absorb, as they help us to follow the example of a living Christ.
it brings me much joy to see martyn and his family enjoying happy times together! once I leave this world and go to heaven, I'll shake his hand and thank him for his ministry that impacts me to this day! I send my love to the Lloyd Jones Family!
I bought threeof your grandfather's books, preaching and preachers, spiritual depression: its causes and cures, and studies in the sermon on the Mount. Im studying to be a pastor, and I can only hope one day, that I'm able to exposit and expound the word of God like your grandfather. God bless
Thank you for sharing these moments. What a wonderful heritage to have such a godly and loving family. You are right, of course. There was clearly a very personable and warm side to God's Pulpit Warrior. The clarion call of a man convinced of the truth of the word continues to heal and instruct. I am very grateful for what I have learned. And now my gratitude extends to the family who shared husband, father & grandfather with the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you!
God just led me to reformed theology and church four months ago . I wish I could have heard Martyn Lloyd Jones and RC Sproul when they were with us. Very thankful for the messages that were recorded. Thank you for your work
It doesn't surprise me that he was the best at sports, even though I have no reason to think that. Your Grandfather is one of the greatest men of God I have ever heard speak. You must be proud indeed.
Thank you for sharing these movie clips. I have been listening daily to MLJ's sermons on Ephesians for months now and have been enjoying Ian Murray's bio on him. More than a gift to the church, MLJ is a treasure.
Thank you for sharing this - really precious. Really appreciate the ministry of Lloyd Jones. Good to see him not only as a great preacher but also as a wonderful loving family man.
Deepest gratitude for the effort you put forth on transmitting the phenomenal preaching of Dr. Jones. The Holy Spirit continues to perform mighty work through this majestic man of GOD. It is a special treat to see these heartwarming family videos. How blessed we all are to be able to learn from these sermons Blessings in the name of JESUS.
I came across a great documentary featuring Dr. MLJ: logic on fire. It was made back in 2015 by media gratiae, but somewhat less known nowadays? I will highly recommend you take a look.
Wonderful. I so enjoyed hearing your grandfather at special services when I was a child/teenager and he stayed with us overnight when speaking at special services. We’re those cone films digitally enhanced as I have dine film from a similar period but it is nowhere near that quality
I am a devout Christian and a longtime admirer of Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, but I am also a photography and motion picture enthusiast. These are remarkably clean and clear home movies, very well preserved. Do you know, are they from 16-millimeter or 8-millimeter film? (Super 8 did not appear until 1965, but if these are standard 8, they go to show what a remarkable format that could be, in capable hands.) Thank you so much for sharing these.
Hi Mike. Thank you! These were Standard 8 and Super 8 movies that my father took, but the film was restored by the Color Lab in Maryland, where I took all our old family home movies. They did a lovely job, didn't they?
@@MLJTrust Absolutely superb. But there is ample evidence the original photographer knew his way around a cine camera. A respectful and admiring tip of the hat to all concerned. :-)
“I should like to call your attention this evening…”
I can’t explain the joy I get when I hear those words with THAT voice.
Same! The start of nearly every sermon 🙏🙂

The old Super 8 cines were carefully restored by a specialist company in Maryland (USA). So glad you liked the results. The difference is stunning
