He should have gone deeper into the credits. They allow 'green' companies to qualify for benefits from the feds. The credits cost not only lost tax revenue, but more in subsidies to the "green economy we want to see" as Yellen calls it.

What I gathered from that was the encouragement of billionaire corporations to take what is owed in taxes and instead invest in the ideological interests of the government rather than overall tax debt. It’s money laundering essentially.

The solution itself to lowering inflation itself is not that difficult. It's getting elected officials to stop spending beyond our limits, and most especially on matters outside the country, that is the difficult part. We don't need a separate body of unelected officials to be a source of "expertise" in this matter.
