That's true in a way, I try my best to stop looking and desiring for love and finding the right woman to marry. I trust that if it's meant to happen it will happen on it's own. I've learned that now after seeing other peoples experiences in a way.

Excellent advice, Susan. Perfectionist behavior can drive these unrealistic expectations, from a guy who learned his lessons the hard way, over decades. ..LOL. Romantic films of "unrequited love" themes can play into these unrealistic expectations, too...fun to experience the drama, but can enable our' travel down negative paths. Thanks, from Darrell.

Women tend be takers. Hey who buys the flowers, who pays for the dining, who makes all the decision on what to do. etc. etc

There are many women out there who are not takers. You just need to communicate what you need to feel loved so if she does like flowers every couple of months, you are getting maybe more time or an outing by her. I buy things for my guy too and cook dinner with the money i earn. everything costs money. Many things to do with a partner to show love x hopefully you can meet someone that see's that beautiful side of love

this is a not new phenomena. I remember a few years back when I took a 4 hour flight to meet this girl to spend a week with her. She would would even take one day off to spend time with me. So I spent the day waiting at her place until she came home. My point is this attitude that many women have towards relationships.

@@spyroluver0951 indeed, and thanks, Spy. The modern relationship dynamic can be a trifle unrealistic, from more than one angle. Upon reading your comment, I immediately thought of the Feminist movement of the last few decades. The mantra was: "I want him to approach me in a "50 50 manner", and "my rights", which of course contains the seeds of relationship-destruction. Women who spent years in the usual college-atmosphere of me-me-ism can be especially tainted, according to statistics readily available. A film from 08, called "Fireproof" can make a real impact on a potentially difficult marriage. A suggestion made is "Study your spouse". If we love them w/o reservation, an automatic attraction will occur. Thanks, from Darrell. 😇😀
