god this guy does every interview he possibly can. fkn love it
Haha I bet right! I’m guessing you mean Will and not me haha! Will seems to be doing a hello of a lot of press these days which is fantastic man. You gotta hustle and get the word out there, still I hope that you enjoyed the chat and that it was nice and interesting. Means the world that you even checked it out :)
i'm low key obsessed with Will. He is amazing.
His lyrics are definitely very poetic. The Pain Remains trio is insanely well written.
Couldn’t agree more man. Honestly some of the moments at the end of Dancing Like Flames just floor me. What a truly fantastic end to a record. I’m so stoked to see what Lorna Shore have got in store for the future. Thank you for checking out the video and I hope you enjoyed it!
I could listen to will chat for hours, guys just a fun guy to listen go. Seems chill as hell and kind, very humble and a huge fan of the music itself. You sometimes see musicians lose that sort of "fan" aspect, then you got people like Will, Caleb from Beartooth, Chris from Motionless, who seriously remain such fans of music and their contemporaries. But damn... Will got some amazing shit going on vocally and writing wise. Very excited to see as his career continues
"we wanted the first song to punch you in the head"
Dude ... The first song punched my head into my body and out my ass. 3 fucking breakdowns and they almost started it with a breakdown?! Which evil genius wrote welcome back O'sleeping dreamer? The guy (probably Adam) deserves a kiss
Hahahahahah that first line killed me. That was amazing, I totally agree dude, it's absolutely insane when it comes to Lorna Shore. I hope that you enjoyed the video as well and found it interesting - thanks so much for checking the video out!
@@TheMetalTris every video with Will is an amazing video. Absolute man crush
@@JREinaNutshell331he's mine
Will on clean vocals, saying "The rest of the band don't want it".... Except Adam said that now that the vocalist can actually sing, he's not opposed to it. It's on UA-cam, caught in 4k. It's basically confirmed :v
But please.... I really really really hope they won't go metal core ....
hearing the concept behind the album is amazing! makes me love it even more!
what a wise and chill guy
I couldn't agree more my friend. Such a lovely guy to have on the channel. We've seen each other a good couple of times now but it's been the first time that I've had him on the show which was a real treat. Thanks for tuning into the video as well, means the world and I hope you enjoyed it!
Honestly his description of Pain Remains reminds me of the Scarlet Witch storyline from the MCU.
When impostor syndrome says "hi" you just kick it in the head.
I'm not listening much to music with harsh vocals. Pain Remains though is the best album for me since _forever_ and I can't stop listening to it. An incredible word of art!
Don't know if Will reads these, but i think the anime he looks for is Neon Genesis: Evangelion
What makes you think this?
Such an awesome interview man, you did a great job! Love how there's so much to the album thematically, the lyrics and the atmosphere of the songs packs even more of a punch with the overarching lore and context in mind! Also would absolutely love to hear more of Will's clean vocals on future tracks, glad to hear they're not ruling it out, his singing voice is bomb and deserves to be heard.
Being an artist, we are always our own worst critics. We tend to look at our body of work and see or hear only the mistakes. Truth is most people don't see or hear the mistakes. And at some point our "mistakes or errors" become our style.
They don't hear or see the mistakes because they don't know the mistakes to listen or look for.
I'm glad you asked some of the questions that you did. It's nice to hear some new things from him
“I’m a unicorn” Protect this man at all costs 🪓
I wasn’t a fan of Lorna shore till wills ep and frankly I think wills writing sticks with me the most is it has made me feel emotions the metal community hasn’t made me feel in over a decade honestly it made me fell sorrow anger exceptance like all these werid things mixed in with epic orcastra peace’s like literally a metal song has never made me head bang and cry at the same time till will it’s a werid experance and I honestly think emotional and concept wise this has to be by far one of Lorna shores best albums for that experance I was getting extreamly bored with just angery guterals etc I was loosing intrest in American metal as a hole glad will is willing to take risks and try something different that most metal bands won’t try
It made me feel as if it was a album of going through stages of grief musically sorry I couldn’t find the right statment to say in the actual comment and didn’t want to try to edit that in
I just got the EP, and getting pain remains Friday!
Will talks about clean vocals. I do love his harsh vocals,! But I have heard him go a cover of “Sleep Token” the love you want and it sounds beautiful.
I couldn't agree more, there's a lot of love for his cover of Sleep Token and I think that with the cleans it would really add a new dimension to Lorna Shore's palette and really bring their game even higher than before. Still though, thank you so much for checking out the video and I hope that you enjoyed it as well. I'm also curious, what did you think of Pain Remains?
That's so crazy I really had a feeling that pain remains trilogy was kinda inspired by sleep token at least lyrically[I'llá. After listening to it I was thinking this goes perfectly with the theme of most of the sleep token songs
When i was listening to the record i was suprised to hear a sound effect from Sekiro and then at the end of the last song on the album the sound of fire from the Dark Souls series, it was unexpected but pleasant to hear for someone who enjoys the From Software's games. Cool to understand that Will is probably a fan too! Also thank you for you work, it was nice to listen to!
Is the Sekiro sfx in the finale like the bonfire? I'm not that familiar with that game, even though the final fight still makes me sweat, months later.
Hey there Eli! Thank you so much for the kind words. It always means a lot when people are thankful and appreciative of the time it takes to put this together. Considering we did this interview at 20:00 on Monday evening I think the turnaround might be my quickest to date!
I had no idea about the sound effects that were used too. It sounds like it’s been really interesting but I hope you enjoyed the video and learnt even more about Pain Remains! Also what do you make of the record? Thanks again!
@@jafoste91 Bonfire sfx was in the end of the last song on the record, but Sekiro's mikiri(i think it's what it's called) was in (editing) Sun//Eater at 4:09!
@@solidsn4ck Wait... How did I not recognise the mikiri counter sound in Sun//Eater... :O xD
I played through Sekiro twice but somehow my head didn't connect those two :D
@@sandro_sullivan when i heard it i was like "Wait, this sounds extremely familiar...Oh my god" and i was pleasantly suprised. I'm a sucker for all kinds of easter eggs to be honest haha
Can’t wait to see Lorna shore October 23rd
I still can’t believe that almost every single date on the tour is sold out. What a fantastic feat - so excited for their next chapter. I hope you enjoyed the interview too!
Wow dude killer 🤘🏻 interview dude as always great content will Ramos seems very easy going the album is seperb lorna shore congratulations on this monster of an album 🔥 dude as always excellent wow 🙏🇵🇹
Great interview! Such a down to earth dude
Hey there Corey, thanks so much for checking out the video! Really means the world. I couldn't agree more dude, he's honestly the nicest person and so relaxed whenever we chat. One of my favourite interviews of this year for sure, what do you think of Pain Remains?
I love the album and I can't stop listening to it. Lorna Shore is doing great things on a different level. I blast it on my speaker at work a lot too lol.
That's awesome! Wish I could do the same
I love behind the scenes stuff about albums and what bands were thinking. Thanks for doing this!
Its awesome he is puerto rican
I need to know the anime! great interview \m/
Thanks so much Andrew! That really does mean the world. I’m sure that one day we’ll find out which anime this was but I’m not a huge fan of anime or more to the point I’ve never really tried watching it. Still though, means a lot that you checked out the video so a huge thanks. What did you think of Pain remains?
The best deathcore
I remember I interviewed Kyle Medina from bodysnatcher and he praised Will Ramos. That was interesting interview if started him walking and then he ended up in the van lol
Thanks so much for checking out the video dude! I see that you've got an Avandra interview on the way, exciting times man!
@@TheMetalTris yeah representing Puerto RIco prog
Incapable of singing properly? Bro, I've listened to Will's cover of Sleep Token's "Hypnosis," he can fucking sing.
Haha I know right! But then at the end of the day, self confidence is something that gets at all of us. I totally get that he's not quite up for incorporating it into the band's sound just yet. It's quite a big change but I totally agree that he's a hugely, hugely talented singer. Thanks for checking out the video and I hope that you enjoyed the interview too :)
I cannot believe he thinks he’s not a good singer, I can’t believe I’m saying this bc Sleep Token is my mf favorite but his cover of jaws is my preference to ST. His vocals are A1 dude
Lorna Shore turned Creed 😂 imagine
Nah I know someone gotta know what anime he is talking about
I just reached out to a fiend of mine who is an anime savant, if he knows I’ll reply to you again with the answers lol
@@eugenephoenix2847 thank you! 😂 I’m desperate now
