You make me appreciate my hooded lids. I have always felt frusterated that they don't show most of the eyeshadow that I apply. But, now I see the beauty in that- we hooded-lid gals can rock bold glitter and it looks less dramatic because it "peeks" out in a fun way, instead of being in-your-face all the time. Thanks for showing me this appreciation.

I have a coworker with very hooded eyes, and she's always wearing bold colors like blue, purple, green, etc. If I wear blue or purple all over my lids to work I feel... exposed, in a way. But on her it's exciting and mysterious. Like a little visual treat every time she blinks.

yess! I also like smoking out a darker shade way up the brow bone, which works so well for hooded eyes. Dramatic, mysterious, sultry :)

The look is definitely uber glam, while still having that ethereal quality that shines through in a lot of your looks. Very pretty Hannah. :)
Joe in the background - eating, doing dishes - fits in quite nicely. He helped prepare for your (and his) day with a hearty breakfast. I like the mystery of him not coming into the forefront and taking over your video. He is doing his thing while you are doing yours. :)

This look that you’ve created is gorgeous. I especially love the placement of your blush, and how you layered your highlight/bronzer/blush. I’ve been wanting to try the bareMinerals stick foundation, and actually just purchased their original powder foundation. I haven’t used it for many years and am quite excited to revisit it. Powder foundations can be nice in the summertime (for me, at least). The Morphe Brunch Babe palette is lovely. I adore my neutrals/soft looks and feel this would suit me.
I hope you’re shoot went well:)

Idk if you’re looking for a foundation but MAC face and body is a light coverage, yet buildable, dewy foundation that has no spf and looks great in person. I hate foundation but love this one. It also comes in white, in case the lightest shade is too dark for you.
    Love the look! ❤️

For many years, I have used the draping method of putting on my blush. Back in the day, it was thought to lift the face and to frame the eyes. I still do this sometimes with a pink-nude blush, and this method comes in handy when I'm in a rush. Such a lovely look - I learned a few things today. Thanks!💜 ~Anastacia in Cleveland

The highlighter looks very good in this video. A lot of time youtubers will put on highlighter and it'll just be a random stripe on their face. Here with you application it actually enhanced your cheekbones. Then you kinda covered it up with blush tho' lol.

Maybe some themed looks or technique-based videos-I feel like you excel at these!
I also adore the fact that I never feel like I need to go out and buy particular products when you do tutorials or GRWM’s. You keep it about method more than just about anyone else in this UA-cam space, and I love that.

I was kinda hoping you'd pop in a couple pics from the photo shoot so I checked your info box & sure enough you had a link to your website so I went directly there- and wow! Gorgeous, gorgeous clothes & you are so strikingly breathtaking modeling them. As a painter & long time figure artist, I loved several of the poses. So classic. Also really like many of the skirts, especially the mixed print ones with the Asian & Boho prints. So beautiful & romantic. I doubt anything is in my size & that's probably for the best as I could see myself going broke on your site lol. The Flip Book is a wonderful touch, it's nice to see the clothes in movement since they're designed for dance. I think you could easily make extra $$ modeling if you ever wanted/ needed to :) Such a professional looking website & beautiful items showcased. I'm very very impressed ♡

yensid Not to be an enabler, and without knowing your size, I just thought I’d throw out there that the majority, if not all, of Poema designs are quite size flexible. I have a couple of her jersey dresses and skirts that have continued to work for me through my pregnancy :)

thank you so much for clicking through, I'm glad you like the clothes! Also a heads up, the pics from the shoot with this makeup will go up this Thursday (we're always a week ahead). Re: size, the designs are super size-versatile, so if you ever decide you really do want something, just send me an email and I can help you figure out what will work best. But you know I advocate budgeting & savings first as the best form of self-love :)

That's great to know regarding the size, thank you. I'm usually a XL or 1X depending on the brand. Depending on how you look at it, i either have no waist or no butt lol. Skirts mainly have to fit waist / hip & are more forgiving in fit than pants. I like a comfortable non sausage casing fit :) I 💜 the almost Edwardian "bustle" detail on some of the skirts. Might give me a butt! 😆

Have you tried the 7 skin method? Layering essence and or serums Lock those in with a cream? Maybe drop the oil? May help with real dehydration rather than the oil only helping with surface hydration:) it’s a thought! You don’t have to do 7 layers, 3-5 is sufficient most of the time

It is quite a different thing doing make-up for photography - definitely a case of boldly going... Subtle rarely looks like anything in a photograph. It must feel weird doing all that in the morning! I find that certain mineral foundations look like skin, but also glamorous - for example, quite a low-cost brand called BellaPierre as well as Bare Minerals. It's all about the application with those: Shelbey Wilson is a great make-up artist with a UA-cam channel. She likes foundation that looks like skin and she is a total magician. Lovely look! The draped look makes me think of some of Lisa Eldridge's looks, like the watercolour cheek and the looks she did for the Dumbo movie - if you haven't seen them, check them out. I'm sure they would be right up your street.

Hannah, I wear foundation to cover my rosacea, I have combo aging skin. In the winter I do get more dry, have you tried any drugstore foundations? The loreal pro glow is nice, I mix it or it doesn’t last on me though, also love the loreal 24 hour freshwear and the physicians formula foundation, they are all skin like IMO... and cheaper.

I have a similar complexion to you. I tend to go for heavier coverage because I also have acne scarring, but I like the Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation for lighter coverage. I use the color LC1 which is not a bad match to my neutral skin-tone, but it might be too cool for Hannah. Unfortunately, I can't use any L'Oreal foundation because they all oxidize darker on me. How massive is Hannah’s new flat! I thought Joe was an ornament.

I use the original Complexion Rescue and Birch 1.5 is more yellow toned but still light. I'm more neutral but yellower always looks better than pinker on me. The struggle is real.

I optimistically swatched it at a store this weekend and Birch looked like yellow paint on me :( much better tone but way too dark.

Hmmm, I wish brands were more consistent with shades between formulas, but don't we all.

Must resist chucking all my blush and glitter stuff all over my face. Mainly because I’m at home preparing for my obs&gynae final until Thursday and therefore have nowhere to go. I loved tamanu oil while I could use it (developed a bad allergy to it, yay, atopic skin making my life more difficult since I was born) my mum inherited it and she’s in love as well, which is quite amazing because we have polar opposite skin types (she’s dry and could probably exfoliate with rocks her skin is so chill, I’m normal/slightly combo and as I mentioned react to everything).

Not a tango-er, just curious. Do you take commissions or do you create and sell whatever you are inspired too make? Is love a design process video.

Those gray undertone highlighters always seem okay swatched, but then I put them on & they look almost black underneath. I’ve been disappointed so many times. Some I can use on my cheeks, but not inner corner of my eye & some I can’t use at all.

Good luck on your foundation journey ! I know you did not request a second opinion but I will leave some food for thought below (please feel free to fully skip this comment lol): as a foundation connaisseur, I have learnt that it is quite wise to acquire a complexion product *only* if it is in my 'exact' tone and undertone (within reason). Because [insert entire dissertation on reasons and other many other reasons here, please]. If the complexion product in question cannot provide the shade and function you are looking for please keep searching; logic, probability, and a somewhat stable supply and demand dictate that you will find a product that is right for you *just as easily and readily* as you found this bare minerals one. Greater joy, satisfaction, experience, and practicality will be the outcome.

that has been my philosophy until now, too! but I'm so impressed by the finish of this foundation stick, it looks better than all of my perfect shade matches from the past in lesser formulas. I may keep hunting, though :)
