I built a small observatory using similar techniques 14 years ago, but with stud walls, all clad in plywood. I found the plywood walls needed to be clad in fibrous cement sheeting as they were degrading in the elements. Any plywood edge that wasn't well covered with aluminium angle degraded badly too..... food for thought.... I like your videos, short/sharp and to the point, a nice high signal to noise ratio, unlike many of your YT contemporaries....

why did you put the corner bracing/connectors on the outside? will the siding attach to that? do you want an air gap in-between? is the siding necessary for rain protection from the side?
In my jurisdiction, a modular shed not attached to a foundation does not require a building permit. However, the moment that you secure it to almost any type of foundation, you are liable for all manner of permits, fees and inspections. The cost of these exceeds the cost of the shed and its contents. So, let the Wind blow it away.
In Norway you don't need a permit for small sheds, or even buildings, as long as its at least 1 meter away from the property line. There is some size limits, but too many to write here.
@@dubious6718 similar story in Belgium. It can however be against the property line if there’s already a wall there (but you’re not allowed to modify that wall)
I'd like to thank you, Matthias, for valuing your viewers' time. Most UA-camrs would have stretched this content out to 20 minutes, including a long-winded five-minute introduction about the value of sheds, how much sheds cost, how sheds are usually built, what one can store in a shed, and where to put a shed. Then a word about the sponsor. Then a request for the viewer to "Like, comment, and subscribe." Thank you for NOT doing any of that!
I built a shed like that in my yard more than 30 years ago. It's still there, barely. The problem is wild rabbits eating holes through the floor and peeing everywhere. Plus a nasty carpenter ant problem once. I have patched holes and replaced rotten areas over a dozen times. I wish I would have put something on the floor the rabbits couldn't chew through. Also, I should have built it modular like you are doing. Replacing whole sections would have been better than all the patchwork.

Some companies that make and ship industrial machinery will also build their own shipping crates and they might have a similar trash/giveaway bin. See if you can find something like that, too.
Nice recommendation at the end.
Really clever choosing a 9 year old part 2 with similar content. Hahaha
I fell for it!
The "part 2" was coincidence, but I figured the sheet metal roofing was a good fit seeing that I just talked about it at the end of the video.
Whaaaa? That other shed was 9 years ago? I remember seeing that like it's yesterday! Time flies :(
