I think what makes Luka great is that he is a mix of a controlled style with streetball flair. He has the moves but it looks like he moves slowly because he is so in control. He reminds of one of the great hockey players, Mario Lemiuex. He would move, turn, step past guys, and just blow ahead but he was so in control it looked deceptively slow.

For example Cooper Flagg who will be a top pick next year is a super athletic wing that happens to be white. He reminds me of Tracy McGrady but his comps are already Andrei Kirilenko and the only comparison I can find is that they're both white athletic dudes.

Luka is so great because he was taught the european way to play first, as in focus is completely on mastering the fundamentals. Athleticism will fade, fundamentals will only get stronger with experience. If american players were taught the fundamentals to the same degree they would dominate with their atleticism + great fundamentals but because of the US' focus on "Measureables" such as vertical etc. they inadvertenly miss out on a great deal of their potential

No he doesn’t. Larry and Luka don’t play the same literally at all. Luka is more of a non athletic Kobe/Harden. He has Kobe’s footwork and fadeaway, and he has Hardens step back, passing efficiency, and average defense.

Better ball handler, better athlete, more moves, etc. Larry was a better rebounder and a slightly better passer, but he was a pure SF and Luka plays more like a guard. A lot of times in evaluations people look at white basketball players and compare them to other white basketball players. For example Cooper Flagg who will be a top pick next year is a super athletic wing that happens to be white. He reminds me of Tracy McGrady but his comps are already Andrei Kirilenko and the only comparison I can find is that they're both white athletic dudes.
