      Check his %’s when he had legit offensive help in Denver… 27 a night on 46% at age 31/32 imagine if he had that support in his prime & 42.5% is good when you consider he was priority’s 1,2,3,4 & 5 for the opposing defense on the scouting report and how many shots he took with those tight coverages

    Iverson is and will always be the most naturally talented individual to ever play in the NBA. In his prime he could step away from the game for a year not even touch a basketball but as soon he stepped back on the court he could pick up right where he left off.

    • @Xenon-h9z
      @Xenon-h9z 11 місяців тому +2

      Love AI, but this is ridiculous. Oscar Robertson probably more naturally talented, MJ, Charles Barkley (if he'd had Kobe's psychotic drive he probably would have been close to MJ), and arguably Larry Bird (tough to compare those two). Possibly Magic as well.
      Dunno about Wilt, his natural athleticism was just something else.

      @@Xenon-h9z what happened when MJ stepped away from the game to play baseball? He came back and wasn't as good as when he left until the next season. He had to get back into basketball shape then he went on to win 3 more championships. That's a prime example of what I'm talking about

      @@JackTorrance-j6g He was rusty for a few games. And yeah, he'd been getting into totally different shape for baseball.
      Someone being rusty for a bit doesn't prove they're not naturally talented. Basketball's team sport, and (it at least used to be) a complicated one.
      Iverson never took any long breaks from basketball either, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Jordan also came in near the end of the season (17 games left).

    I remember going to the after-hours Club Palmers in Philly on a Saturday night and seeing AI in there all the time. 4 am he'll be driving off in his Bentley. Sunday early afternoon he'll be on the television killing it. Or even crazier seeing him in the club at 10:30 pm after going up against players like Oakley, Shaq, MJ, Kobe, ect. Scoring 40 and chilling by the bar an hour later. Word!

    Iverson and Shaq together on the same podcast and now in the front office at Reebok together is straight 🔥. These two guys were truly dominant in their era and there hasnt been another like them since they left. Nobody has had the size and physicality that Shaq had. They used to hack him 20-30x per game just to put him at the line bc they couldn't control him in the paint. Iverson could literally get any shot he wanted every single time down the court and he played every single minute like it was his last. Their might be PG's that pass, dribble, or shoot better now...but nobody will ever play with that much heart ❤️. He could put a whole team on his back and keep you in any game. Much respect to both.

He’s just grateful and loves the game because it’s joyful and he play his heart out.
