In spite of what you think labour is not cheap in Malaysia, but Malaysians don't want to do these type of jobs so they bring labour force from poor countries like Bangladesh. Dyson knew precisely what was going on . It knows full well the maths , and the inevitable implications for workers. They were costed by Dyson itself in its attempt to escape the cost of labour and the working conditions of workers in the UK
And here in lies the objective character of capitalism that dictates on the one hand the necessity of maintaining and increasing the rate of profit for investors and the inevitable race to the bottom for the working class.
Such a system of contradictions is an anathema to a truly democratic and civilised society.
It is not an accident that in the post 2008 capitalist world the difference between a cheap labour platform and a Nazis work camp is one short of a gallows . For both are an expression of the profound and degenerate decay of capitalism in its death throws.

Capitalism, to be more exact Neo - Liberalism, which we can thank Thatcher and Reagan for has been the politics of the west for nigh on 50 years now, but the one thing about Neo - Liberalism it will always destroy itself!
Neo - Liberalism is dependant on consumerism, the lack of regulations, and the whole scenario of the “trickle down” theory, but as we all know the trickle down theory does not work, which means as time moves on consumerism can not be sustained, if the consumer hasn’t the money to buy the goods, they can’t buy the goods to feed Neo - Liberalism!
Neo - Liberalism/ Capitalism, whatever you want to call it, as they are both the same head of the dragon, is definitely in its death throws, and when these cost of living hikes kick in, watch the so- called “the fastest growing economy” claptrap Boris keeps peddling out, begin to bomb out swiftly.
The problem is the Neo - Liberalists have become obsessively greedy, greedy to the point where they can’t see the, “woods for the trees,” a constant syphoning of money away from the workers, the real wealth makers, can only lead to the absolute crash of of their shining star - Neo - Liberalism!

    • @mannatuu
      @mannatuu 2 роки тому +1

@@wazz1154 yes Neo liberalism is in point of fact a stage in the decay of capitalism . A precursor to fascism, its final stage.
If the working class fails to end it this time round then I'm afraid it's game over. Barbarism will return and climate change will finish us off entirely .probably aided and abetted by a virus the capitalist class has now made endemic .

Bought Dyson in the past, not anymore.
It is not down to this sorry tail neither, Dyson has out-priced itself massively, their stuff was one of the best on the market, high grade stuff, not now it has become cheap and nasty!
My son bought me a cordless vacuum, apart from the fact the battery performance starts to deplete quickly, one of the set of 2 brushes on the rotating brush bars, disappear within a month!
When the appliance was still in warranty I had around 7 replacements, with one guy on the Dyson line saying the loss of one set of brushes does not impact performance, whilst trying to wriggle out of sending a replacement.
My reply to that, if that is the case, why put the 2 sets of brushes on in the 1st place, at that point he agreed to send the replacement.
Since then, had to buy new battery, bought a knock off which has lasted longer than the original Dyson one, a knock off head, that has lasted longer than the Dyson one, and some other bits and bobs.
Dyson stuff, not anymore, and certainly not after seeing this.

There’s nothing British about Dyson anymore. They manufacture in Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines. Customer Care outsourced in South Africa, so we don’t even get to talk to a UK based person now. Their Head Office will be in Singapore from March 2021. This is no British company now. Dyson also think it’s ok to give their staff 30 minutes only for lunch break for a 9 hour shift, whether in head office or on their feet all day in retail outlets. Don’t think they care too much whoever you are and wherever you are in the organisation.

If this is to be accepted as just, then Dyon Corporate IS Responsible for each of the workers in its supply chain wherever they may be. Dyson needs to BELT UP on the weak mealy-mouthed excuses and prove to the WORLD By demonstration that they are cleaning up a lot more than a few expensive living rooms.
