This was one of the best podcast, what an incredibly, talented and humble person is Dr.Jalal. he has definitely opened up the whole world of ideas of neuro science, brain mapping, dreams, dreamscaping. I hope we get to see more of how brain heals itself after major physical injuries, mental trauma, depression. I hope neuroscience reaches the depth of this, so that you and Dr. Jalal and other similar people can help people in need. Thank you so much, Ranveer 😊

once during a low state .... of unhappy, depressed, meloncholic state (which is a negative level...state of mind,) like i was in a sort of depression & lying down in bed, my will power had almost gone, I suddenly saw this experience : like a tall man - ( a negative spirit later i realized appears with in a weak mind ) standing at de foot of my bed wearing a yukata & an english top hat. I was so frozen with FEAR i just cudnot rise, nor shout, nor move my limbs, just stuck to de bed terrified in horror. Then I slowly chanted within me Aum... ( de primordial sound of God) AUM... mantra .... & de figure vanished. i cud then slowly regain my movement back...❗ 🕉 🌄 🙏

OMG. This was kind of a revelatory take on podcasts. As a Phd student myself neuroscience has answers to many a stream is what I realised today. Many cognitive strategies just intertwined in my mind and built a connection after listening to Dr Jalals simplification of how brain works. That’s a sign of a humble mind with humble intention. Wouldn’t want to miss commenting on your Socrates style of questioning as well, quite intriguing. It’s a gift in itself.

And I could see a series of dreams , completely irrelevant today.
I just got a cut in my knuckle , thought I was gonna have it after I woke up ,but didn't.
These experiences are very scary ,I couldn't explain these as none believed it.and I found this podcast here today. Thanks Ranveer Sir for having such amazing people on your show.👍

Love to listen these type of podcasts, I really like your interest in spirituality and trying to bring back connection with other topics. I would ask one more question specifically for this podcast is: I have seen some videos where scientists prove that your decision of anything came before you think to decide something and act. For example I will choose apple or banana, before I choose a machine can tell in sometime what I will choose. How that works? If you want I will provide link of that video as well.
Let me know if you have this question’s answer in any other video as well so I can see that.

If you are doing mediation, seek guidance from Guru.
But generally, meditation is not just about positive emotions. You will feel various emotions and that is normal when you meditate but you need proper guidance. One thing vipasanna teaches is how you just observe without indulgence to any emotions. For example if you feel positive sensation, u just observe but not seek it. And same to negative emotions.
Having said that, learn from Guru mostly advanced one. There are lots of proper guided meditation from sources like sadhguru, ravi shankar etc. Dont just make mistake of doing it by yourself..

Well I am one of those who can't remember their own dream 😑. Neither had any of these lucid experiences but I want to have it, they look very interesting 💯.
I do sometimes have experience (very rarely,or might not able to remember) like
I am sleeping , and thinking (not dreaming , because I can hear myself talking like in animes, detective story monologues) and I know I am sleeping + thinking and I can hear people talking around me , hear fan or cooler clearly ... Etc.

    • @jeelezara317

Try telling yourself that I want to remember my dreams everyday before sleeping... Also as soon as you wake up don't let your mind be distracted by anything else and just focus on the dream you had and try to recollect as much as possible because most people only remember their dreams for few seconds after they wake up.

What science is discovering after years and years of research is already in the spiritual books... Not a debate but what I have learned in recent years.

I must say, dr Jalal has this Willie Wonka vibe in him. Just a random thought that I had!
Amazing person, amazing views. Never had I been so excited watching two people talking to each other. Enjoyed so much that I didn't realise it's been 2 hrs! Just realised time is subjective 🤯
Definitely want to see more episodes like this.

1:39:47 the best way to overcome fear is to create more and more positive experiences, it's easier said than done, but we need to take some courage and try to do things we fear about...may be taken support from your friends and family, the reason for fearing something intensely bcz somewhere in the past or even in past lives, such things have caused us harm so we need to overcome it with experience the same situation with positive outcome instead of negative outcome (which might have happened in the past)

This is so interesting, insightful, inspiring and "stimulating" (as u said so in the beginning Ranveer bhai) .. stimulating to pursue these sort of neuro science studies... Really grateful Ranveer broda for bringing such valuable content for the world for people out there who can't be exposed to this kinda knowledge in general

Great episode! If you do happen to bring Dr. Jalal back on the show can you discuss about how memory works? Is it possible to replace an old memory with an imaginative story? (Like in Sherlock Holmes series, Sherlock is made to forget about his childhood friend by replacing him with a dog in his memories) this was possible for him through hypnosis sessions but can we do it to ourselves? Also, our brain tends to block some bad memories to protect us but, doing this often, is it healthy?

Sleep paralysis is something that has fucked up my life. My lady love (P) used to get these sleep paralysis (more frequent ones recently). Someone said to her and her parents that someone did black magic on her and hence she is seeing all that dark dreams and sleep paralysis. Later I was blamed for the black magic thing. Irony, I haven't done anything of that sort and indeed I was with her in every ups and downs and on every single day but idk why I was accused of something that I haven't done.

The evil presence he is mentioning is so true. Whenever I've explained my episode of sleep paralysis, I would always end up stating an evil presence during the episode.
As a kid I've had several nightmares, but then life happened for me and I started getting scared from life instead of ghosts. So I grew strong and when nightmares happened, I would start picking up fights with the ghosts. I never felt scared after that. But the sleep paralysis episode was different, I couldn't wrestle or fight it and it was pure evil, to the point of severely being intimidating. When I realised my own strength is futile and after a feeling a super natural presence, as a reflex I remember I started chanting Hanuman Chalisa, and my episode ended almost immediately and I basically got up. However I was so exhausted and I felt as if my whole energy had been sucked out of me. But the evil presence was no joke, it really makes you question alot of things

I'm really grateful you've mentioned this. Personally, it's been a topic of discussion within my family. The next time you start the experience of déjàvu try asking yourself "what happens next" then try to remember your dream. 😉
