Thank you for your kind words. I'm so sorry to hear about your Leukemia. Picking up the guitar and learning to play may offer some good moments. It doesn't have to be technically advanced to enjoy playing some chords. Learning an instrument can be rewarding in every phase of the process. Before you know it you can play a song. Sending all good thoughts your way my friend.
I all ways come to your channel and pick a few out , and you inspire me to get back into playing again after a long break many thanks and lovely tunes.
Another winner Thor! You are on a roll. I think it sounds very well balanced allowing you to emphasise bass runs or highlighting the treble strings as you play. it's great to see the smile on your face as you play and once you dial it in it will be a great guitar for you. Great playing as always!
Hi Brian 😊 I never had an eye for Epiphone earlier on, but these guitars that I have got my hands on lately has, as you have noticed transformed my view on these. I used to think that the Gibson guitars would trump them in every way. Of course there will be variations in quality in both camps, but the Epiphone's are worth to check out. Thanks for your kind and encouraging words my friend. Cheers!
Excellent guitars made in Korea in the 90's, I have an ej200 from 1998 and even though it doesn't have a solid top it sounds great ....Great playing and thanks for the review
As always beautiful playing, I love watching that right hand so economical & full of tone, I think you could make a lump of wood with some strings sound good.
Saluti dall’Italia.
It does sound great I’ve got the first year production 1992 one with the clean pickguard, these don’t come up often Noel Gallagher of oasis used one to write most of the early oasis songs, it feels and plays great what a sound if you can pick one up for a good price I highly recommended it
Great video and excellent playing. I have exactly the same guitar, almost 20 years old, and for me is a fine guitar, event though is all laminate. IMHO it has the sound one would expect from a Super Jumbo, perhaps with less volume and projection. The finish, look and tuners are all very good. The only things I've changed are the saddle and pins (bone vs plastic) and the original pickguard, which is very very cheap being only a piece of cardboard with am ultra thin veneer of plastic. Keep it up!
noel gallagher (oasis) used this one for the studio and gigs between 1993 and 1996. this is saying all. korean epiphones were great guitars compared to the chinese ones.
Unbelievable, this is a absolut great sounding J200. Have a full solid J200 from Sigma, and I love it. I think the Sigma sounds a little bit more round, and the Epi is a little more crisp. My Sigma has another problem: It have not an as such good player as your Epiphone ;-)
To each their own but I don’t find your evaluations credible. I have owned the guitar you’re playing and I own Gibson acoustics. They are worlds apart starting with the materials alone. The feels are way different and the Gibson SJ200 is a far superior instrurment.
Hi, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm not quite sure what evaluation you are referring to? I haven't mentioned how it compares to a Gibson SJ200 or the materials used. I played my J45 to see how it felt in comparison to play and I mentioned that the Epiphone seems to be a better guitar than my Gibson J200 jr that I had some years ago. I had a lot of issues with my J200 jr and it did never become a valued member of my guitar family. That might very well have been a "Monday" guitar that was bad of course, but it shows that you can come over bad/good samples at any level. I do also own a Gibson HP635W in addition to my Gibson J45 Standard. This particular Korean made Epiphone EJ-200 is a great guitar and I will have no problem letting it share the stage on a live gig together with the two Gibsons as I honestly find it comparable in sound quality and playability. All the best, Thor
Wish I could play . I'm 64 have Leukemia so maybe to late . I greatly enjoy listening to you play . Beautiful ! Thank you !

He he, a lump of wood with strings will be my next challenge. Thank you for your kind words 😊 Cheers!
Your TLC and change of strings definitely brought out some more warmth, what a nice guitar
I thought that was very nicely played , thank you.
Thanks for your kind words 😊 Cheers!
Wow! It sounds fabulous Thor!
Thank you Christopher. It really is an amazingly good sounding guitar. Cheers!

The best exposition in mi opinion about epi EJ-200, I play on a EJ-200 MODEL 2007 and sounds great.
Thank you 😊 It's such a well made and great sounding guitar. Cheers!

You don’t mention the materials used, I’m presuming it has a laminated back and sides but what about the top, is it solid spruce or laminate?
Well we know what it is, it’s in the title.😅
