I think this is one of the best April's fools out there. I have been consciously aware of the day since yesterday evening so I don't fall for fake news; however, it somehow slipped my mind here because I knew Robin dabbled with FF or a long time, I literally started making things out when Matti started doing the whole secret thing about "why Robin doesn't show photos from his paid gigs" this is when it hit me, and I was like "Gosh, April fools... duh"😄 but this was fun to watch😁 love you both guys, and here's to the next 10 years of your friendship🥂

Find yourself an OLY C 5060 (2003).
It has professional Sony TV CCD sensor 1/1. 8" as in TV cameras.
Especially in poor light conditions, its advantage is revealed, even over the Kodak KAF CCDs.
I want a T shirt with a big Olympus Camera on it and the lens standis in for O in "L;ET'S DO THIS" ON THE FRONT! Make it happen and I'll be first in line! 🙂
this made me fall back in my chair and broke the backrest after yelling "NOOOOOOOOO!" until i remembered april fools. woops.
In my case it's not a joke - I really left mFT/OM System for the full frame Canon R6 MkII. It gives me better image quality especially in low light. And overall better quality in normal lighting situations. And the camera is extremely versatile and capable and does not cost more than the OM-1/MkII.
I tested very carefully OM-1 with R8(same image quality as R6II) and OM-1 is way better in image quality in bright and normal situations...people on OM-1 look like real..on R8 like only pictures..only in darker interiors its easier to make a photo of moving objects with R8 because of high iso capability..R8 was returned and im so happy with OM-1 with 12-40mm f2,8 PRO II..its miraculous thing:)
Although I use full frame, apsc and m43 cameras, I still love m43 system.

Haha I am not going to lie I love my Zf, but my first m43 in years is on its way now. After much consideration got the G9ii and 9mm panaleica. If all goes well, the Fuji system will get sold and will get a few more lenses lightening my load on the back and knees for hiking. Zf is my fun camera mostly shooting old adapted manual focus lenses.
And I'm unboxing my old E-510 and kit lenses so I can sell my E-M1X and pro glass... LOL 😆 This was priceless! I almost spit my coffee out this morning pfffft 😂

Good clip I absolutely love MFT I started with nikon which I do like but because of YOU haha I discovered MFT . I recently bought a 7d canon to play with . But my heart is with my G9. and Olympus em-1 mark ii. Nice video, and I do enjoy both of you guys, Channels!
I'm just moving up to a G9 myself, after years of using pro-sumer cameras like the OM-5 Mk III, GX7, GX85. How do you compare it against the EM-1 Mk II, which I also seriously considered? In particular, is the G9 viewfinder lightyears ahead of the E-M1's? That was my main selling point.
To tell you the truth, they both have different subjects for me, haha, but to be concise, I personally think I love the body on the olympus better just so compact .Overall I'd rake them( olympus 9.5) ( G9 9.0 ). That close .
I’m gonna love M43 FOREVER. Even if Panasonic or OM stop working in the system.
I love any camera that I use. I agree the more experience by using different brands helps in gaining knowledge when either taking photos or record videos. It's All Good! Cheers!

I am torn between the z5 with 50mm 1.8s and the em1mkii with 20mm 1.4 pro. I’d like to also do larger wildlife and bird photography in the future and that 300mmf/4 looks awesome. I can only afford one camera and one lens at the moment and like normal primes.
Well, seems like you won't be needing those micro 4/3 lenses anymore, Robin. I'd gladly take your 90 or 60mm macro and the 40-150mm pro from you. Oh and, you've got to sign them somewhere on the barrel 😅

Well, I saw the new Pen-F mark 2 today. Strange. It lacks the EVF. But otherwise it is exactly like the original PEN-F. Another thing, it has a way to big resolution in my opinion, Why 80 megapixel? I dont like those big files.
I use nikon Z and m4/3 both, own ZF and z9, om1 mk2 and almost all olympus pro lens, I use Nikon for portrait, OM for all kind of shooting

Mi piacerebbe provare una full-frame visto che per lavoro usavo la pellicola 35mm nel reportage quindi anche i matrinoni fino al 2004, quando inseguito passai completamente nel digitale grazie al sistema Olympus 4/3 con la E-1.
Mai successo questa possibilità sebbene abbia incontrato qualche collega che usava formati più ampi del mio.
Alcuni anni fa ho acquistato la Panasonic G9 per avere una fotocamera più moderna della mia prima micro 4/3, una Olympus E M1.
Eppure l'anno scorso mi sono regalato una reflex Olympus E-5 per sfruttare al meglio i Zuiko 4/3 che ancora avevo... e la uso più spesso.
Adoro vedere attraverso un mirino ottico perché mi ricorda il lungo passato con la pellicola. 🙂
Ultimamente sto fotografando con una vecchia bridge Sony F828 nella fotografia all'infrarosso: basta solo una calamita per farla diventare full-spectrum.
Divertente e creativo: bello sperimentare. 🙃

Love it! In all seriousness, the Z5 is a great basis for a relatively inexpensive full frame addition to one's m4/3 kit. However, it's still hard to get past the size and weight of the lenses needed for equivalent field of view.
Good point. I nearly fainted when I saw the prices of some of those 50mm f/1.4 primes for full frame....! Especially when compared to the awesome Leica Summilux 25mm f/1.4 for Micro Four Thirds.

Who can afford to switch cameras after investing thousands of dollars in micro four thirds . I love Olympus but I do not love OM systems . They have become money hungry for their products .Just like the new Sigma(Om Systems lens made by Sigma) overpriced lens which is $1000 dollars more than the Sigma Lens f I could afford it I would switch to Full Frame Nikon now that Nikon has all the best features to offer in a truly better system . And this is no April fool . I have been an Olympus user since Olympus used Smart Media Cards in their cameras . And I still have the original camera in working condition. Happy shooting Robin and Matti !

I think this is true about Robin. I had the pleasure of meeting Robin last year in KL. He did talk a big line about m43. And before that by seeing Robin's videos I was persuaded to buy an Olympus 4/3 camera for the THIRD TIME, after giving it up TWICE! And as the guy in the video suggested did Robin ever show me a portfolio case of gorgeous 16 x 20 (inch) m/43 prints? Negatory! What I think now is that I'm going to return to KL and see if I can trade in my EM5-3, he Panny 20, which Robin dissed anyway, and my 25mm f1.7 Olympus for some roti and a bowl of cold beef noodles at the end of Jalan Sultan at that place with the big line. and then call it a day

LOL... thank you for choosing Nikon... haha... my first SLR was a Nikon F80 then moved on to a Nikon DSLR... From an D70 to a D300s for work assignments... as I progressed to more travel photography, I saw your videos and decided to go with Olympus as opposed to Fuji... haha... the Oly is much lighter and weather proof as well... and can perform in extreme weather as well... so I am happy with both...

LLPOF - you nearly had me, I totally agree though, mix and experiment. I am not a pro, just a casual shooter who travels and loves taking family shots as well as general street shots. I use M4/3 Oly and Panny for travel and family shots like when we go to a restaurant. I have upgraded my canon collection to an R6 II as I have an expensive legacy collection of lenses and I just adore this complex, yet remarkable camera for its sharpness, bokeh &tracking my fast moving grand kids. I brought a used nikon and play with that, was having fun with the D5100 just yesterday. I brought some Brightin star lenses for M4/3, having lotsa fun with those. Photography should be fun and I love experimenting. Yes, use what you have and make sure you explore its capabilities, the grass is not always greener on the other side. You tube is great for that (understanding ones camera), thanks to you Robin (and Matti). And Matti, we turned the weather on for you in Melbourne, I hope you got out and explored it, I'm looking forward to your You Tube vids on what you did in my backyard!
Woa, what a shocking word of choice. 🙂 Robin’s blog and pictures have contributed, many years ago, to my decision to go with MFT. But if he moved on, he moved on. Whatever is the most fun at artistic expression.

Great video. I am really looking at the G9 m2 for all it's great features but that 2x crop is something that still scares me. As a canon guy, 1.6 is pretty strenuous and a larger crop factor has always been scary. But after reading more about used Lumix G85 and 95, the idea of having ibis and weather sealing sounds amazing.
I still dream of full frame- I can't imaging an rectilinear 10 or 12mm and at low f stops, how well indoor group photos could be. But an out door m43 camera might be an interesting adventure in the other direction.
