Absolutely brilliant tutorial! My goodness, you covered everything. I love the way you don't just explain the tech but also provide the reasoning behind planning the steps and selecting the design for an escape room. Was knackered from this school year, but now I cannot wait to try this out with my students tomorrow. Thank you so much! Genially, give this teacher a free license!
Thank you! I am creating an escape room tour of a set of construction workshops, for secondary students looking at their FE choices. This has given me so many ideas!
Hi Julia, thank you so much for your amazing videos. I will definitely be using some of your ideas in the escape games I create. Unfortunately, I tried embedding the google street view via your Google VR Tour creator link but Google has discontinued this function. Thank you so much for your work
Thanks for your nice comment. Yes, Google tour is gone which is very sad but you can embed a specific google street view location as a 360 view in Genially.
This video is excellent!! thanks a lot for sharing the ideas and the explanation for each of them. It's been really really inspiring! Can't wait to improve my escape rooms!
Thanks for your comment. You don't have to use Google forms, you can always go with multiple choice and an invisible area. I mainly use the forms to give people the option to check their answers before they add them all up to get the final code number.
Hi Julia, tnanks for this brilliant tutorial. I've got a question. How can I implement one of your pages in another genially? I'd have loved to have the spy one and the one with the sheets in my own presentation but I couldn't get them copied. Can you help me? Thank you.
Use the link to the presentation that is in the video description, then click “reuse this genially” at the bottom. This will copy it into your account. The go into your own presentation and click “add page” (above the slide view) and then “my creation” and find the copy of my presentation in the list. You can then select as many slides as you want to copy and just click add to copy them into your presentation.
Sorry, a bit late, you have probably found the answer by now, but in case others have the same question: go to settings (top right) and turn on "drag elements"
thank you for this great tutorial. is there a way that i can see all the answers of each student? maybe by different links for each student? thank you for your answer.
Unfortunately you are not able to see work that students do In Genially, it is designed more as a presentation tool and not an assessment tool, but you could embed a Google or Microsoft form on the last slide where student can register their progress.
Hi, I’m not sure what activity you refer to? You will need to share the link of the presentation with the students for them to see. There are some very helpful Facebook groups eg „Genially inspired“ that you could join and other members and I can help you there more quickly.
dear' this is an amazing tutorial and the slides are marvellus. i want to use some of the slides but cannot make changes and don't know how to use only part of the slides for my activities/ can you help me?
Open the presentation: view.genial.ly/5ef48af5d31cf50da57974ab/interactive-content-advanced-genially-ideas. Then click „reuse this genially“ at the bottom, now go into your own presentation, add a slide, and choose from „my creations“. You should be able to see my presentation in the list and then you can choose the individual slides you want to add.
@@jumo543 Dear, sorry for annoying, but i find some dificulties operating theslides/ For examle when i use the boats question i get nothing pushin the right answer only when i'm wrong, then the boat sinks, or if i want to use the ativity with the flashlight, it's not moving. Is there something wrong i'm doing? I'm sorry to bother but what you did amaze me.
@@tsionalevy5636 No problem. I’ve fixed to boat activity now - but for this game it is best to use the original Genially template (in Gamification). For the flashlight to work, you need to go into settings (top right in Genially) and turn on “drag elements”, then you should be able to move items around. I hope that works.

This is a great tutorial, just what I was looking for. Thanks very much :). Just wish there was another option instead of google forms for the locks!

Is this template available to use?
Yes you can find the link in the video description- but open it on a computer, not a mobile device to be able to reuse it.
