THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Those roots are somethin else!
Good morning! Thank you for this video and perfect timing for me. I have been wondering how I was going to get slips going this late. Now I know how to from my existing vines. Thank you again and God bless you and Wanda.
Thank you for the info. I just skipped the part of putting them in water and stuck them in the ground. I kept them moist and they are growing all over.
Thank you, excellent news
Good morning
No special treatment, just water. Thumbs up.
For what it’s worth, I’m continually praying that y’all get abundant showers of blessings without any storm damage. Right now, the wet weather is just skimming around us, but some of the rivers are swollen. Our household has, at least, springs that have not been known to go dry.
Great tip thanks
Goodmorning 😁
Good morning!

My okra is doing great. This Louisiana heat makes great okra. Love y’all’s vids, very helpful. 👍🏻
You are so generous with sharing your life learned knowledge. Thank you! Prayers sent up for the blessing of rain for you folks.
♥️🙏🏼🇺🇲
Just like dibling pine trees! Thank you so much for covering this topic I often wondered if that was an option. Thank y and God Bless! Y'all have a Blessed day!
Good morning Mr Danny and Ms Wanda. What a blessing to get this information. Some of our vines are rooting on the ground. I know that you said that they will grow smaller potatoes there. If I cut them where they are rooting and plant that, would it grow better sized sweet potatoes? Thank you Sir and Lord bless you guy's ❤
Thanks for informing us what to do Danny. Mine were a little shocked at first, but they’ve come out of it and I hope I get more sweet potatoes than four that’s what I had last time. But they were good. Prayers for rain at your place.🙏☔️🙏
The rabbits keep eating the leaves of my sweet potatoes. I’m so frustrated!!!!
Thank you Mr Danny and Ms Wanda. Pray y'all get some rain. Been raining all around is and we keep getting missed. Thank you for sharing all of these tips have learned so much from you both. Have a blessed evening.
That is fantastic. This year my slips did not grow. Our ground was so cold for So long I only had a few. Last year was fantastic. I did not think the ground would even warm up.
I am handicapped in my feet, and so I kneel on the ground and plant them like you just did only I use a trowel. I have found that a sweet potato slip with roots is remarkably forgiving. After the first week they are drought resistant, storms do not damage the plant, they grow in our heavy clay soil, and they enjoy the hot weather. If the growing season was just a little longer then I think that they would out-yield corn. As it is our cool Autumns appear to reduce the yield: every time we have a cool Autumn we get a lot of little bitty roots and fewer big ones. And I grow short season varieties
Great idea! Thanks for giving us nuggets of wisdom like this. 💕
Finally we got 1 in. There had been no rain in 3 weeks. Earlier in the season i had a roly poly invasion and they ate my seedlings. Never seen that before in 25 years of gardening. Anybody else?
Im going to do this. I have some sweet potatoes planted and their doing great. Thanks.
Thank you and Wanda. I’m all way learning when I watch your videos , thank you so much
🦋🇺🇸👍👍👍Awesome. Thank you for sharing.
Good morning. I grow my extra sweet potatoes slips the same way. Blessings.
This is awesome! Once the shade hits my garden I'll cut me some vines to root. Thanks!!
I have to start over making slips from the sweet potato itself. I had 12 plants planted and some kids pulled every single one out thinking it was a weed! I was sick seeing they were gone!
Thanks for informing us and showing us the easy way.
Good information! Thank you for the tutorial!
Say what??? 🥰 Thanks for this tip! I can make another row now! ❤
I can sure use this new knowledge Sir!!
Thank you Danny for that extra tip !!
Great information God bless
Shabbat Shalom
I’m doing the same thing. Waiting on mine to get some roots going.
I like the idea of using the vines to establish a new bed. I have used them before by just poking them into the soil. However the problem was when it came time to harvest. The newly planted vines were behind by weeks and I had no idea which were which. My harvest could have been much better having them planted in a “new” area. That way I could have kept track of them. Thank you for bringing us along. It’s always great to see what you’re up to.
Good advice. Hope this channel grows for you.
Love them sweet taters ❤
My third section of Sweet Potatoes are going in, in the morning. I'm putting mine in close together too. My bunnies love when I have extra SP vines too... lol
Good morning Danny your sweet potatoes are looking amazing mine are doing great in the beds in my greenhouse I keep it over 70 degrees even though we are at the end of June we have had a couple of nights in the low 50s but they are growing beautifully thank you for your manual I followed it too a t and they are doing amazingthank you and God bless ❤

Rain, what’s that?? Dry as a powder keg in my corner of Alabama.
Sorry to hear that. Hope things improve for you. We were like that for over 45 days here in Central East Florida
