On my brother in law’s land the pecan harvesting company would come every year and shake the trees and run their pecan harvesting machines over the ground to collect the pecans. He got several thousand dollars and all the pecans he wanted. They were all just natural pecan trees not a planted orchard. He considered the pecans a cash crop on his farm.
I didn't even know there was such a tool. We have one pecan tree, so thank you for the information! May God bless and protect Deep South Homestead and Pecan Grove, and all who work and dwell there! 🙏🙏
Mr Duke trying to get those pecans had me in stitches. Those cows are sure characters. That is a neat little device y'all bought. Thank y'all for sharing and have a blessed day.
I love pecans. Even though they take years to get old enough to produce, I planted three saplings four years ago. Being 67 years old I doubt I'll see nuts but my kids and grandkids will.😊
Love watching the cow . You can have your grandkids help you pick them up and they would make a game out of it and have fun picking up pecans. God bless.
Nice harvest of pecans for the beginning of the season. The cows are really curious about the side by side. It made me laugh, they're so pretty. Thanks for sharing 😊
I just love your spoiled cows. So much fun! Looks like you will need some industrial nut catching equipment with all those pecan trees on the property.
Our friends from church lost a 100 year old pecan tree during Helene, here in NC FL. The root ball came up, too. A pecan grower is going to help them set it back up to see if it will survive.
My folks used to spread tarps under the walnut trees and then send kids to climb the trees and shake the limbs. If they timed it right they would get a winters worth of nuts in less than an hour
My husband had almond orchards. With as many trees as you have you might want to invest in a sweeper or find a neighbor with an orchard that would harvest yours. I don't think there will be enough hours in the year for you to pick up all the pecans you're going to have if you are trying to do it with that little roller-thing.
It’s good to see you coming back from your procedure and using your right hand and arm again, but, PLEASE, make haste slowly. You have been through damage and know that trying too much too soon will aggravate the situation and may cause permanent damage. It’s a lesson I learned the hard way by becoming it.
Can you show us what a good vs bad pecan looks like from the ones that fall to the ground? We have old Pecan trees in a local park that was once a homestead. I one year I saw a father with his children shaking them out of a tree with a line and the kids were gathering them in 5 gallon buckets. He told me which were good but I don’t remember what he said.
I saw a channel with this BIG thing that you roll around with plastic fingers on it. It picks up sticks and stuff but has a catcher-tray on it. BAG A NUT from Amazon

Still continues to amaze me that amount of progress you guys have made on Pecan Grove! 💪🙏❤️

I had no idea how to actually use one of those pecan "rollers". Thank you for demonstrating the "tap".
I used one for years for black walnuts. We had 7 large trees. Works great. Best method we found.
Cows are funny, they're so curious 💝👍💝
No backaches this year. Thanks for sharing the information. 🙇♀️

Those cows are so adorable 🥰
Danny: The cows are CALLING YOU. “Why won’t he come bring us corn?”😂😂😂
I’m going to be getting y’all an oil press, but I’m going to wait until after the longshoreman strike is over.
I'm 62 and I've been picking them up by hand. Whew! A real back killer. Lol. But I do it.
When all those trees start producing, you'll have to get a pecan harvester you can pull behind the lawn mower.
Love those nosy old cows!
Good morning Mrs Wanda and Mr Danny ❤
Good morning y’all! Pecans are looking good.
Love watching the cow . You can have your grandkids help you pick them up and they would make a game out of it and have fun picking up pecans. God bless.
Neat tool 🔧.. Cows are beautiful. Take it easy Danny😊
That's a lot of pecans.
The weasel tool is a backsaver right there.
Nice harvest of pecans for the beginning of the season. The cows are really curious about the side by side. It made me laugh, they're so pretty. Thanks for sharing 😊
⭐️Cow comedy lol They are awesome! Do the cows ever try to eat pecans on the ground?

If trimed properly it will grow back. We do it in the south all the time.
Catchy title! Glad you are getting a good amount of pecans.
I learn so much from y'all ❤
Cool pecan picker upper!
Dear Danny you truly are the smartest 🍪 from the cookie jar!! Thank you for posting!! Blessings from Kentucky 🙌🏻🤗🙏🏻🇺🇸
I really need one of those! We have had so many acorns dropped from our oak tree this year it's ridiculous!

We will
@@sallywasagoodolgal You evidently have NO IDEA how dedicated Danny is about collecting food! OCD+!
Get some prices for the grandkids!! The one that pick the most gets to pick the price first!! Believe me they will pick them all up in no time!!! 😘🥰😍
Those little pecans are the best tasting ones but are a pain to shell.
Back saver for sure.

Yeah I've looked at them there very expensive.
Time to make a nice pecan pie. Pecan Grove pet cows.
They all want to check out everything lol.
Pecans looks amazing but I am highly allergic to them to point of anaphylaxis. Four wheeler a cow magnet.
Have you ever seen the “Bag A Nut” pecan havestor? Seen them used for sale on different places.
Yes there very expensive
@@pecangrovems theres a used one in Conway
You've been thinking about putting a net under the trees
👍
Wonder if would help get acorns out of my yard!
Yes we tried it on our acorns and it worked
Have you tried just rolling it?
Yes there's to much trash on the ground.
Nice
Yikes camera movement hurts my eyes. Careful there 😮❤
❤❤❤
Kewl. Thumbs up.
What do you make with all those pecans
We put them in the freezer for all year.
I’m dizzy watching! 🤪
Eat and Play ... pet cows. They listen too, lol. Mind readers, sigh.
If you get enough for nuts then you can work on making flour for yourself.
🐂🐃🐂🐃😂
Silly cows.
This is why yall don’t have dogs- your cows are like big dogs! 😊 Shalom!
@@blessedbloominghomestead9134 IMO, they’re more like unhousebroken puppies.
@@vickisavage8929 😂 exactly! ❤️
