As someone who have done mascotting before, we have incredibly limited vision. So if kids stand too near us, chances are we can’t see them at all.

Being a mascot sounds so cool and fun. But I'm sure it gets hot in the suit in the sun all day
7_HDJ yeah, some bragging rights for being a mascot haha! Some modern mascots come with built in fan so it’s still not so hot but the traditional ones make you sweat like you’ve done a workout
Only thing a stormtrooper can hit apparently is the ground.

mascot feet are usually slightly bigger than the actors, so with luck only the costume was damaged and not the actors foot

As a fursuiter that wears foot paws alike from the Bolt suit I can tell you that their actual foot was probably nowhere near the cart as the shoe is very small compared to the paw, the only thing smashed would be the padded toes which aren’t close to your real toes
I’ve been a character performer (not with Disney) and a mascot before, and honestly I have so much respect for this lot. It’s hard enough a job in small companies without all the rules Disney piles on top too and those parks seem like a somewhat exhausting place to work, as amazing as they are! Honestly you’d have to pay me an awful lot to ever do mascot performing again after a kid repeatedly tried to stab me with a broken candy floss stick and I had to try and stop him without breaking character.
Did you do a backflip kick at the kid to be impress and leave you alone out of respect?
I love the way Ralph falls down and he literally tries to jump forward when he’s falling 😂🤣

As someone who owns stormtrooper armor, you have no clue how hard that one makes me cringe. I can hear and feel the fall 😂
At least the helmet protects their identity so no one knows who they are. Makes it a bit more bearable
