Kaczynski was given high doses of LSD during CIA backed experiments at Harvard in the early 60s.
At the time LSD was also being very consciously used in experiments as a means of simulating schizoid states, as a possible cure for alcoholism, as a means of inducing telepathic states, etc.
They used soldiers, prisoners, prostitute's clients, & mental patients, all unknowingly or against their will.
The CIA eventually had to compensate victims they used (& whose lives they destroyed) in experiments carried out through Canadian universities.
A recent book also puts forth the hypothesis that Charles Manson was also used in later experiments on group psychosis & violence through a Free Medical Centre in San Francisco.

right and doesn't really apply here in my opinion. In some people's opinion human life in immeasurable so there's nothing that can counter it. Also, 'right' can mean 'correct' or ''moral' and it can be argued both ways for both circumstances. His theory was right, application was wrong. However he didn't actually apply the abolition of industrial society so you can't say that the rights outweigh the wrongs because his manifesto wasn't necessarily morally right; just politically correct in a proletariat perspective, therefore there was nothing morally right that he did except express the theory/idea whereas he killed many people and scarred people beyond recognition. Additionally, he technically had a skewed perception of reality (as shown by the psychologist appointed to him from court) due to his schizphrenia, which is a delusion on society, shown by his personal anger against those people, leading to the murders (assuming moral obligation to take action to account for your sociopolitical views). He just created allusions (not illusions don't get confused) in his book after murdering people - doesn't exactly outweigh anything in my opinion it isn't even really measurable: creating a pronunciamento and taking lives are different categories in mass media
