I ended up breading them I had so many I give them all to the pet shops if you want to breed them they like the little hanging basket nest fresh water , cuttlefish , branches, but mine just had the run of the house flu about and went back to the cage with the door open lol .

Why is she hatching in a very small bowl? Didn't you provide her with a nest? she is struggling to lay egg on the bowl. And the eggs are breaking. Pls provide her with a nest.
If you are going to keep zebras, make sure you dont mix them with other finches coz the will take over the whole aviary. They are native to my country and are found in flocks of thousands,,that is australia.

Not for the nest they just like cucumber you could pad the nest out with lots of things my Birds would fly around and take little bits of twigs out of our plants .
