One of my favorite GDQ runs during the covid era, and have been waiting on Return to Castle Wolfenstein to be featured during a main GDQ event. You did an absolutely beautiful job running it, Heros.
Ok, after watching this speedrun i just realized something. I played this game 20 years ago and then never again, and it left such a huge impression on me that i remembered almost every single section from every single level.
First of all, amazing run! This was a favorite of mine growing up and it's nice to see how a pro does it. Second, during the @40:00 mission, anyone else like the line. "... and we don't want to be detected. So we throw a 'nade up here.... then we shoot around... And that's the last stealth mission." :P
The mission getting to the Kobra plane was phenomenally well done. Just those first five or six strafejumps are way more precise than they look, also the slope fall damage negation right afterward, to get to the gate. Perfect movement in that whole level, great run of the game for GDQ.
wow, I've Never been able to finish this game because I couldn't defeat the final boss, thanks for showing me all intricate details on how to find his weak spots.
Well done, my favourite game, playing the Sh*t out of it when i was younger, both single and multi, so many memories! Great run, and i hope to see it more often!
I Love this game haven't played it in years though actually forgot about it until I saw this video thanks for the awesome trip down memory lane ooh and for crashing it harder than I've ever seen awesome run!
I hope this game gets a remaster soon and includes all the extra content from Tides of War in it, including the rewards at the end of the levels. I'm personally not a fan of the reward system from Operation Resurrection because it makes the game super easy, but an option to toggle between the two (or have none at all) would be cool to have.
I played this game on Xbox as a youngun and I remember a lot of levels set in Egypt before the point where the run begins, were those exclusive to the Xbox version? Or are they two different games?
While the technical commentary was on point, I was a bit disappointed that he didn't talk anything about the game itself, not even mentioning the story. The story of the game is kinda memeish, so I'm sad that this was left out.
Runner introduction starts at 1:11
Run starts at 1:48

I've wanted this game to be on GDQ for years and years. Then the day finally came. And Heros did not disappoint.
This game was my childhood. And this is the first speedrun I see of this game. It was impressive.
Greetings to HeroSSK from Argentina.
I've never actually watched a speedrun of this game before, this was very impressive 👍.

Great run!
The zombie level really scared me when I was a kid.
It scared Me too! I was afraid of jumping in the zombie hole in the crypt haha
I love full game commentary speedruns, especially for one of my favorite games; thanks for that, HEROS5K and Games Done Quick!

I loved this game as well as Enemy Territory which was one of the best multiplayer FPS games ever.
I spent endless hours on Wolf ET in college
Need a medic!

Used to play this game with my dad, we had our only save right before the alarm was sounded and had to restart the whole game
Excellent game and what a fun and (seems like to me) difficult run. Thanks GDQ and Heros :D
