I don’t do a New Year’s resolution I pray and ask for something God wants or needs me to work on so I choose a word. Last year was discernment. This year I feel God wants me to be Bold. This is something I am not. Dance classes sound so fun!
Happy New Year to the Forsyths! I’ve now cut my hair twice using a YT video, I believe it was the butterfly cut. Parted my hair into two sections making the part just behind the ears, pull both parts into ponytails, first one right at your forehead and the second one a high pony, It’s two cuts! Two! Getting all the tangles out first took longer than the cut. Last time I didn’t cut it quite short enough, so going to do it again pretty soon. No point in having long hair if you’re going to wear it up all the time, and I wear it up all the time because I’m too old to have long grey hair just hanging down. It’s a far cry from my beautiful red hair! Baby Gunner is getting so big! He will be walking all over before long, one of my grands walked at about nine months, I walked at 8 months! My firstborn was over a year old before she walked, but tried to walk for a couple of months before she actually did. She never crawled.
Your hair is GORGEOUS ! I love it on you. My oldest was 7 1/2 months an once she pulled herself up to the couch she would walk down quickly pretty soon soon she was running and let go. I love the haircut! I rarely do a New Year’s resolution but last year I decided my goal was to send out birthday and anniversary cards and I didn’t miss any through all of 2023. This year I don’t have anything. I don’t enjoy cooking either, but I can cook. I do meal planning 1 month at a time. It’s easier for me that way because there’s no emotion in it, just put the meals in. I always do the same type of meal on the same days so that makes it easier too, Mondays are pasta, Tuesday are chicken, and so on.
What worked for me was cutting way down on carbs & sticking with it, even when my weight didn't fluctuate for weeks at a time. It took me 15 months to lose 45 lbs., but I feel SO much better that returning to old habits isn't even tempting. And at 65, I'm too old to play that yoyo dieting game anymore.
