I went to Bryant University and personally know the Coach that was fired from Duke (he came to Bryant later that year, as it was the only school to offer him a job post-Duke). He was still doing interviews and was in settlement talks with Duke at the time. He brought the players in question to talk to the team and suffice it to say they were humbled by the experience. Coach Pressler is still at Bryant and credits his lengthy stay there to "loyalty". Bryant was the only school to offer him a job when he was going through the worst time in his life. He has since received offers from Blue Chip D1 programs and turned them down to repay the favor. That's class...

It's so weird how often the social media 'bad guys' turn out to be 100x better people than the 'good guys'. The cultural narrative is not just warped, not just broken, it's flipped upside down. Truths are un-PC so are substituted with falsehoods, reality is offensive thus denied, weakness is strength, etc.

My most recent (NPD/BPD) ex gf used to hit herself during fits of episodal Anxiety. I begged her to stop, constantly trying to get her to seek help. It sucked seeing her that way. 😓😓😓
I can't be certain if she tried using 'claimed abuse' as a method of getting attention from time to time, but... shortly after I broke up with her, I essentially became 'socially invisible'. Besides, her friends constantly looked at me like I was 'dangerous' and acted suspicious around me. I noticed.
Even this post is SUPER unlikely to be seen. Maybe even years into the future, it'll still have been seen by no one.
But... I'm trying to become 'unghosted / un-shadow banned'.
      It is what it is.

A lady from human resources where I work once told my co-worker and I that the reason women get less punishment when they lie about sexual assault is because it would discourage real victims from coming forward for fear that they will also get punished in case they can't prove it. I stayed quiet.

There have been plenty of cases similar to this. It makes you wonder how many times men have been falsely convicted based on 'he-said, she-said' evidence, due to lack of video or other real evidence.

My business partner’s ex did this. She destroyed her house, injured herself, and called the cops blaming him. Luckily, unbeknownst to her we’d flown to Vegas two days before. NOTHING happened to her. Police wouldn’t press charges and the divorce court was like “meh, just a mother under duress.” Until women face the same accountability as men this stuff isn’t going to change.

    It gets worse.
One of the players had proof he wasn't at the party. He was in a taxi across town. The cops REFUSED to listen to the driver. When the taxi driver went public, HE WAS ARRESTED on a shoplifting warrant that was two years old. The kicker, he wasn't the shoplifter. He was arrested because they (the accused shoplifters) rode in his taxi.

Duke University had to pay three players $20 million dollars each. An ad appeared in the campus newspaper attacking the players that was signed by eighty faculty members. I remember one of the mothers being quoted as saying nobody was going to treat her son that way. Lacrosse does cost some money, more than something like soccer or basketball but definitely less than hockey. Just back in the day it used to cost money and the only schools that played were rich New England private schools. Over the years more and more schools around the country have the sport and it’s gotten relatively cheaper.

The Durham County DA’s office was collectively as a group CORRUPT during the time of this scandal.
I am a Duke Alum that had graduated about 8 years before this incident but still lived in the area.
I ended up with a “fabricated” misdemeanor assault charge around this time and went to the DA’s office with taped phone calls and email messages that proved that the charges were false.
One of the Assistant DA’s told me:
“If the evidence does not support your guilt…..we don’t want it because our job is to convict you whether you are guilty or not.”
Luckily, the accuser admitted that the police report was fabricated. Needless to say, that person faced no repercussions while my Corporate Career could have been ended.

I think that they missed two of the most crucial points in the aftermath:
First, when the exonerated students tried to sue the state and Nifong, the state absolved itself of wrongdoing and Nifong filed for bankruptcy - hence, the money that their families spent to clear their names is mostly unrecoverable.
Second, it was ruled that their civil rights were not violated because they do not have civil rights protections, because they are white males...
Thus, the courts acknowledged all the wrong-doing that was outlined, but because they are white men, they don't care...

When I was in collage there was a girl who was known for having compulsive lying issues. She managed to get 12 people arrested for "rape" in her first semester alone. She was well known for going to parties, getting extremely drunk, and then aggressively pursing guys to take home before calling the cops in the morning. The frat houses tried to solve this by word of mouth however this didn't work as she generally targeted freshmen who either didn't know or were too drunk to care. As this did not work the frat and sorority houses banned her from parties. This of course caused an uproar among the left wing disciplines and activist groups. It culminated when the dean (a very respected female) suggested to the girl that she not attend these parties. This was the spark that set off the explosion. The weekend after we had dozens of black charter buses show up to drop of hundreds of protesters who occupied our facilities to protest "blaming rape victims". Of course our dean was fired and the associated hashtag trended globally on twitter and was even mentioned on the daily show. The last incident before I graduated was rather shocking. This same girl made the accusation that 5 people from our basketball team gang raped her in the parking lot late at night. It didn't matter that the dorm cameras, guard, and scan in system showed she did not leave the dorm that night. It did not matter that all 5 of the accused has provable alibis showing they weren't even near campus, it didn't matter that the parking lot cameras showed nothing, and it didn't matter the rape kit came up with nothing. The college revoked all of the accused sports scholarships because they were terrified of the woke mob.

Similar thing happened at my school. Two girls on a bus were wasted and started screaming and hitting people around them. They posted about how everyone on the bus was racist and were trying to sexually harass them… and then the security footage came out lol
