The outcome with both brothers is very telling with their situations. Dean saving Cole, it made Dean feel great he could save a life and even briefly gave him hope in his own situation. But Sam failing to save Kit is haunting for Sam not just because he failed to save someone but a grim reminder that he might not be able to save his brother. Both outcomes show that people can be saved and can't be saved.
This is the last episode with Cole in it and good riddance. I never liked this guy, a tragic backstory can only get you so far. His personality wasn't likable and honestly, he was more of nuisance than a help to the brothers
The oldest rule of hunting is that you can't save everyone. It brings back the memory of Rufus telling us that & losing him at the same time.

In another episode it was called a Khan Worm.
Rufus once said that you can't save everybody
Hi Evie, I don't know how suggesting shows work, but I highly recommend Once Upon a Time! It's got 7 seasons and it's based on various fairy tales.
Don't deny Dean his cake! That's a crime above all others.
