Scavengers and raiders surviving in a eradiated wasteland, with names like 'The Grey Waste Walkers' that ride giant cockroach's and have crazy religions even more dystopian than 40K's usual apocalyptic setting! Awesome episode GDN
Oh man love those Ash waste Nomads they kind of remind me of the Tallarn desert raiders, fremen and necrons combined together.but these tribes of waste desert dwellers got some impressive blast weaponry that may be iron Lord Lost technology, of long ago???🤔 Their face mask with air tubes may prove to the fact that they are humans that evolve but who knows, plus I" think they take there dead with them that's why nobody finds there body's after all it's pretty big Ash wasteland out there.that one nomad at 4:46 is got the most brutal chainsaw I have ever seen especially with that curved blade at the tip of it Tungar, are some brutal daring nomads, the Bakhowl. Otherwise the oil run stalkers got a cool name being like Clan Moulder of the Ash wasteland's oh boy I" wouldn't want to run into that sump Spirit I" can imagine coming out of a desert Storm glowing like foreboding of Doom, The Dust wall crawler's are the termite helmite's tamers of the wastelands that also give me the creep's anyone talking to a ghost helmite's that Talk Back makes my skin crawl. 😬 also the lead Sky seers I gotta say is the coolest out the group, since they make their hardcore living in irum Oceanus, I can imagine there great spirit the storm dancer appearing out of the desert winds with blades in each hand. Plus helmite's remind me of termite mountains of Namibia Africa that tilt North aline to the Sun, those chieftains are Op the storm callers mystics are definitely the spellcasters of the nomads and dust runners are probably are the first ones that any necromunda resident would encounter before being lay low amongst the ash wastelands The nomads the phantom blades that hide amongst the Ash of necromunda."😃👍
The comparison to Star Wars' Tusken Raiders couldn't be more fitting from a parallel with another sci-fi IP, in the obvious visible and behavioural basics. Mounts from the rubbish tip in place of banthas, haha, that's Warhammer. “Sand people” from The Hills Have Eyes desert, or that of “Them!” Recovering their tribal members' corpses - well, as the Skaven would say, “meat is meat”. Survival in Necromunda's ash wastes has to be practical, yes-yes. Typically, it sounds like the harshness of their environment to life has fostered a unique spirituality at least as deep as the average Imperium citizen's Imperial faith. Their Great Spirits. The Buzzards of Mad Max's world I remember from Fury Road, though I have no knowledge of their lore's expansion within the game that followed so I have no reference to that. But as desert nomads overall, the link is obvious. The giant bugs are both disturbing as military units as well as intriguing in their own right, for their inclusion in the 40K universe. Thanks muchly, Narrator, for showcasing yet, YET, another faction from this packed microcosm of the most famously-infamous hiveworld in this galaxy. 'Til another plumbing of the depths to this planet's lore, be well and have a terrific rest of your week. The Emperor protects.
Fascinating stuff, again, Necromunda never ceases to amaze me, and I wonder how many worlds and stories are out there. Thanks GDN. These guys are fascinating.
I'm kind of conflicted on the Nomads. The mysterious aspect makes them interesting as part of the setting, but it also makes them hard to invest in as a facrion. Hopefully GW develops them some more.

The most frightening thing to a City Slicker: Rural folk. thanks for the video.
sweet some ash wastes lore.
That Mad Max game was a genuinely good addition to the franchise.
I know they can be youse as PDF in other imperial planets like in armageddon they have ash waste militia regiments

Good stuff as always. Personally love the theory they are flea men underneath their robes.
Wouldn't even be the creepiest thing in 40k, lol.
The more I learn of Necromunda the more I think it is basically space Mexico
If they about to die they all scream "WITNESS ME" as they blow their enemies to ash.
Thanks for the video. Very interesting.
I was thinking of the Buzzards the entire time!
Glad I'm not the only one.
No way, i am not a fan of mad max but these guys are far out!!! ❤
