Yes keep this up. Almost all of the Korean have learned is from Josh and Ollie on Jolly. I love this kind of format because it is funny and I can watch over and over and it helps me remember the words. I need this 😂
Yes! "Jolly" inspired me to actually film teaching Korean to my brother when he asked me, but I also wanted to do something a bit different. Thanks for your comment :)
hey billy, just wanted to let u know that i saw ur twitter page today for the first time, and i gotta say its so refreshingly different from those of other korean resources, especially since it had memes 😝 so great work, and i hope u always keep it interesting and unique ♡
Your brother is adorable and it's so much fun to learn along with him! I think it would be great if he learns the pronunciation exception rules and then sentence structure (how to put together simple sentences) next time! Please continue with this series. It's a lot of fun!!! 😊
Can you do more with your brother? I’m Korean and I need to learn more Korean 😮 Everything seems so fast and a little confusing. Thanks for the video 👍👍👍👍👍
'In order for it to make a sound you need at least one vowel.' Except when you're laughing, right? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ ;) Loved this little crash course, especially since it's your brother. Maybe one day ill get good enough to teach my sister lol
This was both fun and interesting! More please! Maybe introductions, phrases like ty, sorry, excuse etc. Restaurant stuff.. Ordering, asking for utensils, take out box etc.
OMG!!! I’ve try so many methods and yours by far is way more efficient, easier to learn and all makes sense. You are an amazing teacher. I’m 57 years old and looking forward to learn with you. Thank you so much for all you do!
This was a lot of fun to watch :) I think another simple goal would be learning some (simple, short) basic vocabulary, since you can't make sentences without words!
This is awesome you should do more, it’s really interesting to see progress in such a short amount of time! I’ve been learning korean for almost two years, Although when watching someone learn 한글 I get confused and start to forget it myself😂 잘 했어요 알렉스 !
I have been learning Korean for almost a year now, and am discovering that it is truly a beautiful language. The pictoral meaning in each thing they say, really gets lost in the English language. I am really enjoying this, but am frustrated with myself that I am not further along than what I am
Bad use of words, but, a lot of what they say paints a picture of how they wish health and a good life for people. For example, 안녕히 계세요 doesn't just mean goodbye, it means "stay in peace".
koen gsinghz if you taught yourself, it’s probably because you learned at your own pace and in your preferred learning style! That’s how I did it, and it was pretty easy. Having someone teach me though probably would’ve been harder because I like to think things through in my own way
Alex: "Anyang Jeremy" Jeremy: "...." Alex: "Jemy isseo?" Jeremy: "yes" Alex: "O... Neul..-muuo hesso?" Jeremy: "... Yes" *runs away* this is me when I try making Korean friends
That rule about the vowel is a universal grammar rule and I was just thinking about it as you said it, a syllable needs a vowel and sometimes in english is we don’t have one there are some consonants that can fill in for the vowel like /j/ (which is the y sound) /w/ and /l/. Language is so cool :)
Hey billy. I am using a book about korean grammar, I’m learning pronunciation rules. do you think I could just skim through it and not write everything down. Because I get anxiety while trying to understand it and trying to write it down. I don’t fully get it but I feel that after speaking for a while the sound change rules will make more sense. And I’ll be able to read and write. If this comment make sense... what are your thoughts on me doing that?
In theory, ㅔis the similar sound of the word e in bed. ㅐ is the similar sound of a in bad. This will make sense when you think of the place of articulation of ㅔ and ㅐ. But as you mentioned, it is true that we don’t care about the difference in pronunciation. So I think I am 100 percent sure that you guys can pronounce ㅔ and ㅐ more exactly than we can.
This confused the soul out of my brain. I think of 에 as ea in head and ㅐ as ay in say but not too much stressing. like 데(de) 대(day)[but pronounced like tay with the tongue positioned like you’re abt to say the].
Hi Billy, i already saw your books in BookDepository.com, i will order it next month, if you don"t mind my asking, what is in the Korean made simple in book 3? I also like buying the Korean Reading made simple one day and i always watch you video, this time with your brother Alex. God bless.
Book 3 goes up to a low intermediate level, so it has a lot of grammar related to that. You can look inside of the books on their Amazon pages to see what topics they cover. But all 3 books go in order.
@@GoBillyKorean I love to buy all 3 books but i don"t have that much money, that is why am watching your video every day and what i really want is more practice reading and writing and understanding Hangul.
Mannnnn I’m gonna need to know how your brother gets his legs to move like that in the intro 😂
Reincarnation of Groucho Marx.
Or he's part acrobat!

This is so hilarious... Please make a series. It's so fun learning this way too.
Bro your brother is a natural learner!
His comprehension is really good.
Bruh can we talk about how his legs work like that???? I would snap every ligament in my knees if I tried that

I love this. Yes please make this a series. I think that is a great goal to go to koreatown and order food, only speak korean to wait staff.
This was the best video ever! Your brother is awesome just like you! 아렉스 화이팅!
oh men!!! i like the episode..hope you have more episode..i hope you can get the title.. alex goes to korean world!!!
This vid is the whole package. It's got a timed challenge. A "training montage". And a family reunion.
That was funny and very interesting... I would like to see more and learn with your brother... Thank you Tina
At 4:44 it sounds like he is saying Canada 😂😂
It's konglishhhhhhhhh😂😂😂😂
Love this series! Please do more :)

it was the CUTESt thing when talking to Jeremy aw

Its really cute how his brother gets so confused at some point but then he tries to refocus and be active
at 2:39 you triggered my Echo dot and it started playing despacito and scared me XD
You and your Bro are Awesome XD Love it Billy!! XD
I wish Billy would teach me Korean 😂😂 I spend on Hangul first 30 mins, BUT THEN LIKE THREE TIMES RE-LEARNED it because of pronunciation....
Don't remember 한글 learning to be this complicated at all! Dunno how I learnt them!
Enjoyed the video!

11:59 when you realize that dog and crab sound the same in Korean. 🤨
@Lola’s Subliminals lol right. It's the tiniest difference.

He should teach Ollie from koreanenglishman.
Younger brother? Don't you mean twin? lol
No, maybe bc Billy is older than his brother thats why his title is 'Tutoring My Brother'
I really like this video

Man your Korean is much better than even those of the local natives.
For his very first time, Alex did brilliant! 🤣👍🏼
23:52 LMAO
Holy crap! Billy looks just like the physicist Mark Tegmark!
9:58 The face after he says that...I can relate..
The little boy cute n handsome!!
The two of you are so funny together...
Heck when you guys were saying ㅕ repeatedly i suddenly thought i was watching hungarians because of how similar "ja" sounds
omg you two are so adorable... i wish u were my brothers :)
Why did his bro's voice go high at 24:32? Dead 😂
What if I learned hangul at 15 minutes ?
Korean still not...
OMG when he busted out dancing and break dancing i fell on the floor 😘😘🤣😂🤣🤣😅😅
7:31 I just noticed that Alex is left handed. I'm too.
is anyone else freaking out by how similar they sound? or is it just common sense knowing they're related?
how is he now? Is he fluent now?
