STALKER Anomaly was and is my first STALKER experience, i´ve had it for t least 6 months, maybe more and i still haven´t added any other mods to it. I gotta say though i believe i won´t be able to get into the original games after having the refined experience of Anomaly, and that´s even without any mods yet.
I just want more of the story myself
I advice you to play Misery mod for COP, it has original game's campaign and gameplay similar to anomaly(basically it is grandpa of anomaly).
You can get the vanilla bundle pretty cheap on cdkeys like $6,
But as a long time fan since SoC released I don't think I could enjoy vanilla after playing anomaly. People who hate mods probably weren't smart enough to figure out how to install them. The fact is I quit playing stalker years ago. It was great but I had my fun with the series and moved on. Anomaly has changed that and breathed new life into this beloved franchise. I tried anomaly for the first time about a month ago and haven't been able to put it down since. It's the experience stalker should have been all along and I think what makes it so great is that it builds on the formula that made vanilla so good instead of outright changing it.
Me and my nephew loved stalker years ago and have a lot of fond memories doing so. Because of anomaly we're playing stalker once again.
Thats such a cool story man. Also, did get all the old games on sale for around $4 each on steam during October.
i could never really get into the OG Stalker games back in the days but with anomaly and Gamma i finally got into something stalker. its just such a good gaming experience compared to so many modern games that come out. i would KILL if i could play Gamma and/or anomaly with my friends. great video btw, such a immersive experience. also is the music from path of exile? sounds super familiar.
All my songs come from Epidemic Sound, so not too sure about the use in Path of Exile. At which part exactly. I can look at the song file I used. Also glad you enjoyed the video! Means a lot, and this made me recently buy the og stalker games, and gonna try them out here soon.
@@bluetherobot after 2:50 that reminds me a lot of the beginning area in POE but i guess it just sounds like the style of music they use. you going to run something like OpenXRay for the OG games or any other conversion? the OG games are known to be very painful to play, with a lot of weird things that can make the experience un-enjoyable and frustrating. But there are a lot of fanboy purists that dont want people to enjoy the OG games in the best possible way for no good reason. so you may have to deal with those people if you decide to do that.
@-VioletGrey- lol. I will look into certain fixes and patches to improve the game, and yeah, I just ignore those kind of people.

Stalker 2 is gonna have a multiplayer feature added after launch, here's hoping Stalker 2 scratches the same itch anomaly does but we won't know till it launches
screw the mod hater, most people that play anomaly run gamma or EFP and the real chads pick out their own mods into their custom mod lists

What's that G28 mod? Looks different from the one in Gamma.
That's within the EFP Modpack. So I would have to look through the list.
Hm weird, I have EFP included in UGP. Maybe UGP doesn't include them all. It's the HK417/G28 tho, right?@@bluetherobot
Correct. I know it's the latest EFP update, which I got from their main discord.
as a general rule people run either EFP or gamma, if it's not in gamma it's probably in EFP unless they've added it after the fact but most people are happy with the base modpacks
I've played stalker gamma. And it has 422 mods. I say. Let the man mod his damn game! Its his choice to see what shall unfold.

Call of the Zone is also pretty good. Its like anonaly but more in line with the OGs and it has really good quest progression.
Stalker is great that it allows for people to mod their own experience to their liking
